Ehhh. Radcliffe's still too young to play a 40ish year old man. The only one from the epilogue who slightly convinced me was Emma.

And honestly Cursed Child still isn't something I care for, let alone want a movie of. How can they do it with Alan Rickman so recently gone? It feels impossible to recast, even if it's probably not. If Alan was still with us I'd be more supportive.

Oh please no, the HP saga is fairly concluded and doesn't need alternate timelines and reboots.

Huh. A Gaastra post with nothing to do with cartoons or video games.

At any rate, it's not a stellar idea. Cursed Child isn't very good and the only way it'd work as a movie is if they redo the script to right the wrongs of the book.

You must not have read the book.

And if they'd use this to fix the problems of the play, great, since I think a lot of my own issues with the story was just a fault of the fact that it is a play. That said, I really don't think this is needed.

On one hand, it was garbage.

On the other hand, we're getting the Trolley Witch scene adapted for cinema.

No, I haven't, but from what I was told by the people at B&N when they were trying to get me to preorder it was that it takes place 20 years after the final book.

They're really want to rush into this, doesn't surprise me since the DCEU is a friggin trainwreck.

There's your problem then. There's a lot of time travel in Cursed Child, and Snape appears quite a bit. Too soon to recast unless they change the character, but I still don't want it.

I think it is to soon wait 10 years and get the original cast and maybe then I will care.

Easy money grab. However, fans will always be clamoring for more HP.

    Hahahaha NO.

Problem 1: Core trio still are too young to play middle aged versions of themselves
Problem 2: Alan Rickman is dead and Snape features quite a bit.
Problem 3: Cursed Child was steaming shit

This is one adaptation where I wouldn’t mind some creative liberties being taken. Reading The Cursed Child felt too much like reading someone’s weird fan fiction. I would know too. I once helped someone at my college’s computer lab with a Microsoft Office problem. I fixed the problem but they just wouldn’t let me leave and kept telling me all about their evil Ron Weasley fan fiction.

It would seriously need to re-written I've read the book and was going to see the play, but after reading it I've come to the conclusion it is a terrible fan-fiction. A lot of the events that take place are way out of character.

    Addendum:

I would like to add. Am I the only one that thought the last Fantastic Beasts was....um crappy. It started out strong with the first movie and this last one... I said to myself. What the hell did I just watch?

As a fan fiction reader myself, the Harry Potter portion I avoid like the plague.

Just so much weirdness. And if I switch the filter to favorites, Harry Potter is ALWAYS at the top, along with Naruto. Drives me nuts.
