    Negative.

A lot of critics hate it (and the other TF movies) because they're based on children's toys.

Most audiences have enjoyed the film. It got a standing ovation at the end of the midnight opening I went to, and I'm planning on seeing once or twice more before it leaves theaters, just like I did with the first one.

If you consider yourself a TF fan, you should see DotM.

Co-Signed. Bay's Megatron turned out to be a tragic character, in a good way. He pulls off the ultimate long con, and nearly wins Cybertron, but ends up soured on the victory because he had to sell out to an Autobot to get it done.

Its pretty much the most three dimensional characterization of Megs I've seen.

I really don't get the nitpicking...well beyond the "Bay sucks" folks anyway.

It's just that people feel, and rightfully so, that he doesn't get much to do after the first movie, which really I personally feel it's because he doesn't belong in the other two. He should have stayed dead after the first movie, they only brought him back because he's such a huge fan-favorite and Hasbro wants to sell more toys.

But really, they should have moved on to the Fallen as leader in the second movie, and maybe had Shockwave or introduced Galvatron for the third.
