just a random thought, i was wondering if in your Family there was already someone who heard of tfs/was a tf fan before u was born/Before u became a fan

in my family, my uncles and dad did used to see the G1 Cartoon, how i do know, well when the first trailers for the first movie showed up, i do remember clearly my dad saying that he used to see the original transformers series.

also one of uncles likes the movies, but wish the characters resembled or at least had the same Alternate modes they had in the G1 Cartoon (like he keeps said bee should had been a beatle or Megs should have been a gun), he also says he saw a TF Cartoon where they were all animals and he hated it (im assuming beast wars or beast machines), so there was family members of mine who were TF fans/watched G1, before i was born/Became a fan.

what about you, were you the first tf fan on ur family or there was already a tf fan in ur family before u?

 

My dad used to watch the old G1 episode reruns while my mom was pregnant with me and then, they'd buy me Micromasters and Actionmasters for my birthdays until I could let them know which ones I actually wanted. After that came G2 and an eternal love affair was cemented. - My mom has always said that, because of my dad watching TFs while I was still a'cookin' is why I love them so much. Haha.

I am the OG G1 in my family.

Had 2 cousins also into them at the same age.

Started watching when "More Than Meets the Eyes" premiered lol

I am 35 now, I infected my now 21 yr old nephew with Transformers, as well as all 3 of my other brothers kids as well, 12,11 and 9.

So I am keeping it going and they all also know and love the original series as well.

 

My stepfather had a few Transformers toys as a kid and I'm pretty sure he saw a few episodes of G1.

 

Nope, I found out about TFs by myself.

 

Nope. I'm the only one that cares about Transformers at all.

 

Im the first and only one in my family. Theyll watch the Movies if theyre like the only thing on TV, but thats it.

 

My uncle. Without him, I wouldn't have been the fan of Transformers I am today   He grew up with G1 and he and I are quite the fans of Beast Wars and Beast Machines  

 

My cousin, Tony. He's one of them G1 fans, and hates everything else with a passion. He also hates the Autobots, and Megatron, but is a huge fan of Starscream. But he had nothing to do with me becoming a fan. I got reeled in because of the live action movies.

 

My dad was a fan of Transformers.
When I was little, both of us used to watch Beast Wars and Beast Machines together. He is the reason why I'm a Transformers fan.

 

My older cousin was first although I doubt that he's a big collector.

I am the first.

 

My brother was the target demographic for G1. I'm a few years younger than him. So I had no interest in Transformers until Beast Wars. Now thanks to War for Cybertron I'm here. My brother hasn't cared about Transformers since he was a kid but I knew he was a fan then.

 

An uncle of mine is a Geewhiner, but nothing other than that. Honestly, he's kinda the reason I dislike G1 so much.

started with my oldest brother with g1

then my brother that is older than me but younger and him and I got into beast wars

now my oldest brother lives vicariously through me with my transformer collection   the live action movies we used to bond over. he likes seeing all the transformers i get, he keeps saying i need to pick up g1 blaster   i do need to get him

 

My Cousin collected them back in the 80's but since moving to the UK all his G1 has been kept in a stoarage warehouse somewhere.
Nowadays he prefers computer games.
