Did he even appear in Season 2 or did he depart with Skyfire at the end of Season 1?

Sad really; in Atlantis Arise, why did Buzzsaw and Lazerbeak make the discovery of the city? That requires vision, not audio, ability, so it should have been Reflector.

There was no mass release toy to promote. I think he was in season 2 but just as background filler.

Except for one time Thundercracker used Refector & called out his/their name, I can't think of a single time Refector did anything of significance. He was just used to fill out backgrounds.

As to why Buzzsaw & Laserbeak found the city. They were always flying around so it was either them or one of the seekers that found it. Did we ever see Refector out by themselves? They were alwyas with the other cons.

Reflector, the first combiner. Someone needs to do a fanfic about these guys.

Reflector shows up in the cartoon quite a bit for a mailaway toy, AND gets some third party figure love. Others didn't fare quite so well. Skids gets walk-on roles and Omnibots never hear back from the casting directors.

Skids is the one that got his name reused the most out of them. He even got in the movie.

We had to collect & save for those dudes too. The red car had that M.A.S.K. mode, he could've flown around with Tracks or something.

Never thought of it that way.
Didn't the 3 robots have individual names?

I think Reflector was one of my favorite of the original toys. He's one the characters who I think had a cooler toy than cartoon character.

The cartoon should have been colored differently. Reflector is Rumble's grey.
    Would have added variety.

For reals. Tracks needed a friend. Nobody else likes him because he's too stuck-up. Except for that dancing punk kid.

Wasn't one of the Reflector robots hanging out with Shockwave in one of the season 2 Cybertron episodes?

Reflector was always 'one 'of my favorite characters of G1, and 'he' had a good 2-3 episodes in Season 1 where 'he' actually did something of worth. I loved that Chris Latta voiced 'him' too. But I also remembered being VERY disappointed with the multi-colored toy after going through the whole mail-away headache as kid.

How so? Reflector sounded almost exactly like Starscream.

Not so much deeper - more like a subdued version of Starscream with less high pitched 'screetch'. I don't know how to explain it :)

Well the voice made Reflector sound more courageous than Starscream except in episode 6 where Rumble sends one of them back to Cybertron for a test (he and Shockwave get stuck in some glue).

And Reflector's head shape: that dungeon executioner without the cover of the black mask.

If Reflector were a single bot like Soundwave, I'd give him a strength of 10 and make him Meg's left hand Brute who's intelligent (right hand brute was Skywarp who I wish had a strength of 10 as well).

Yes, that was him, but he can also be seen just as Devestator forms up.
