Toy releases are irrelevant to the topic being discussed.

Toy releases/bios arent always insync with the films/shows /comics or other forms of fiction.

The tank in the first film was INDEED named Devastator, not Brawl.And no, it wasnt an error.Bay intentionally named the tank Devastator because he perfered the name.

So yes, we have 2 characters by the same name in the films continuity.

and if your wrong, it will be you that has been proven to be argumentative.

 

Is the Credits to the whole movie not at all true? I guess since that's the case,
it's wasn't directed by Michael Bay, it was directed by Quentin Tarantino starring Tobey Maguire!

Again,the credits say the real names of Roadbuster and Leadfoot,but not Topspin,as he had no lines,so he wasn't in the credits

In the movie the Einstein bot is Q (Que) (whatever), in the novel it's WheelJack.
Take your pick which ever name you prefer.

 

Personally, since Hasbro owns the rights to Transformers; he's Brawl as far I'm concerned.
Micheal Bay, or the guy who doesn't own the rights to Transformers, really shouldn't have any place to rename a character he doesn't own.
That's how I look at it.

Besides; I thought the whole Brawlastator scandal ended when the real Devastator was introduced in ROTF?

 

Hasbro gave him the rights to do what he wanted with the characters.

And I dont see why the addition of a 2nd character with the same name would end the "scandal".

Well whatever. I'll stick the Hasbro name. It's a fitting homage to the Combaticon.

And really, the average movie goer probably only remembers Brawlastator as 'the tank bot', and the real Devastator as 'the giant bot in the desert' anyway.
