is kinda sad that i'm currently unable to help you (since paypal hates me and i'm kinda tight on monies even if i already got my paycheck)... and i soo... wanted to read that exclusive pdf... oh well.. you can always come back and make comics the old way (or on deviantart) right?... right?
There isn't a time limit on the exclusive PDF. Anyone who donates in 2011 will get it, and if they donate later they will get all of the previous pages of it. So if you can get up the scratch sometime this year, you're good. On a side note, make sure the e-mail address in your donation is a valid one, because that's where I'll be sending the PDFs. If it's not, or you want it sent to a different one, shoot me an e-mail or a PM, let me know what e-mail you paypal'd the funds with, and what e-mail you want it changed to on my list.
You can also go to his website: Warring At Play There you will find a PayPal donate button at the very bottom.
Really wish I could help you but I am seriously strapped for cash at the moment Bills, dental check up which will probably yank away $180 soon, gotta buy a new camera which will probably cost $350 + for my Photography class, School payments and a whole lotta other crap I really don't feel like mentioning. Is it just me, or has 2011 become a year where you a strapped for cash these days. It wasn't a problem for me for most of 2010 and the previous years that came before but it seems it had to happen eventually :L Hope you get everything sorted out soon Pol
Are you ready to UPDATE! Okay okay, so this isn't a WaP update, technically. But those of you who donated might be interested by what's in the notes. Those not interested in this Running Battle may safely ignore it. Do you even read the text under these pics anymore? Notes: 1. I should hopefully be done with Parallax in the next update, and back to WaP, for those who miss regular Warring At Play. Already got the update shot! 2. The Commander armors just universally look badass. Every time I photograph them I’m surprised. FP knew what they were doing. 3. Warring At Play needs support! And you get goodies for it! Updates in a few days, as well as a preview page. Those of you who already donated this year should be getting a confirmation e-mail.
New tutorial posted on how I do speed blurs: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-funnies/181156-tutorial-thread-6.html#post5901222
Might have to try that once everyone's on Arus... Don't think it'd work on the backgrounds I'm essentially creating to simulate Cybertron.
Great update! Very destructive on this one. I really love that axe. If I find one at a decent price at Botcon, I might pick one up.
It runs about $15 from BBTS, so that's your baseline. I can say that it's tremendously durable, has nice tolerances for the parts that peg together (Peg together firmly, but not scary tight. Everything plugs together smoothly) and really everything Vangelus said in his review is true.
Good tutorial. Clean and simple to follow. And that Parallax update, I can tell you're just having a blast making those.
Great update and tutorial, Pol, I'm hoping I can put that into use one day. If you're taking requests, can I make one? I know it's probably pretty simple, but how do you do the white light effect like in this picture?
And just for a special treat for you all, here's a guest comic, by TFW's Proxima, and friends Monica and Kim! Warring At Play GAIDEN Notes: 1. Since Proxima and I regularly trade toys, and since her collecting is almost entirely my fault, her comic 'reality' can be considered to be linked to mine. And she already has a few refugees from my comic reality. 2. This is Proxima's first attempt at a comic. The explosions I did because I've lagged on doing an updated tutorial, but the rest is hers. 3. This will be posted on the main site shortly. I will create a special page especially for guest comics. This means that, yes, if others want to do a guest comic, I will consider it.
