Nope, don't have it. How is it "all the rage now", when only 1 3rd party figure has been KO as of late.

 

It was kind of a joke. With Green Giant, and Thundershred being KOed in a short amount of time I'm sure there will be more to follow. No insult or animosity was intend if you took it that way.

 

Well actual KOs do exist so be careful to purchase from known dealers. If the "sticker" is preprinted on, it's a dead give away.

Yeah that one is fake. That is the same seller I got mine from, before I learned that the KO existed.

 

I am not big on buying KO's of third party figures.

 

The idea of KOs doesn't bother me, as long as they are honest about what they are doing with their packaging. When they attempt to rip off the consumer by making identical packaging, however, it really pisses me off. Now if I ever want to get these guys, I'm going to have to inspect the packaging before purchasing and that sucks.

WRT that Facebook page, if you see a Thundershred listed for sale and the picture shows a green logo, that in itself doesn't appear to automatically mean it's a KO.

Got a Thundershred this morning, and although the sticker is green, it passes the test on every other point, including the sharpness of the print on the box.

So only conclusion i can draw is that FP did produce Thundershred with a green sticker too.

 

From what I've seen here and elsewhere the color of the sticker doesn't matter. What matters is that it IS a sticker (or a blank space with a border around it for one) and not just printed on as part of the box. Of the three insecticons I have, one has a green sticker, one has a red, and the other doesn't even have a sticker; it has the blank spot for the sticker but one wasn't applied. All three boxes are genuine; KOs have the colored square with an F in it printed right on the box as likely the design was just scanned from a box that had a sticker applied.

 

Our order of FP Thundershreds came with both green and red stickers so I can safely say that the sticker color doesn't necessarily mean it's a KO. While I haven't seen a KO version in person I am under the impression that the Green logo is printed on instead of stickered on the KO as Buford has mentioned. =)

 

Got a question. I just read this entire post and it got me thinking. I just had a look at my newly acquired Fans Project Car Crash. No sticker. But, the dot matrix R is there. printed on the box as art. How can my previously unreleased Car Crash be a K O already?

 

Mine came with a blue sticker. Seems authentic because the box art is sharp and there are round screw heads.

 

I don't believe the Car Crash is a KO as I haven't heard they were KOed yet. The shipment of Car Crash we have all have printed logos rather than stickered. I think they changed their process with the new items.

 

I wouldn't think car crash or any part of intimidator could be ko aready. If you need a real fp insecticon get with edbomber, he will hook you up

 

Places like Igo Shopping here, where it's clearly the green logo (can't tell if it is a sticker), but its from China, and it only costs $42 including shipping to the USA, probably the copycat?
