I think im just gonna wait and try to find maketoys strafe. He was only 1 on lost light so not gonna pay 150 for him and the clear grimlock. That emgo review really threw me off him. I agreed with all his reviews thus far.

 

Before I left for work, I tested the arms to see if they still pulled out that easily. They actually didn't come out after a couple decent tugs. Maybe the company tightened the connectors on the arm soccets.

And I am not going to build the Grimlock. Anyone want it?

 

I don't know whether it is a KO or not but as far as I can tell, the fingers are grey compared to the original and there is no diecast on the feet. I can't tell for the plastic quality as I don't have the original.

For $150, it is a pretty good figure to have.

If this is a KO I have, it's a damn good one. Sometimes KOs are better made than the real article. That might explain the tighter arm connections.

Edit: I just went back and watched a couple of videos and yes, the real one definitely has red hands, while mine are grey. I'm still really happy with this set though. Plastic quality feels nice. Definitely worth $157 to me.

I had to do some minor work on my Warbotron Bruticus too I had to take the connector pieces apart, It shouldn't be impossible to adjust the fit in various ways if needed, sometimes it requires a bit of minor sanding sometimes a filler or some part swapping.

I wanna buy one of these but the gift set seems to be a QC nightmare (seems box rattle is breaking things in transit like feet and guns off their posts). I'm not worried about combining it so much as I am getting it to pieces in the 1st place - they really should have packed it in 5 parts and had all the accessories packed seperately not placed on the toy.

Sometimes if something is to tight or to loose the easiest solution is simple undo a screw a bit - I just had to do that on Yes Model's Vulcan OSKO to get the legs out - they are insanely tight - but if you undo a few of screws a 1/4 turn they work fine then.

Does anybody have these guys and the TFC Seacons? I'm curious how their bot modes scale, mostly because the new TFC Terrorcons are the same size as the TFC Seacons and I think these guys will go great with their futuristic tech style, next to the kind of organic style of the Terrorcons...
