Not when you can get the machine boy ko swindle for 20 bucks shipped.
I dig him, if that helps. Probably my favorite of the Warbotron dudes.
I have no intentions of getting rid of my Warbo Brut, even with the announcement of TW doing a larger one.
This is still one of (if not THE) my favorite combiners.....and I currently have 51 at last count.
TF Source is having a sale for Sly Strike MISB for $50. Sale ends midnight tonight 7/10/16.
Warbotron - WB01-C - Sly Strike
BBTS selling the set for $400 is very tempting. Is that a good price for this guy?
I'm actually gonna sell my set, but not sure what to ask for it
TF Source had v.2 of Air Burst, but now it looks like they've sold out of the individual figures. If you purchase the whole set at TF Source, the Air Burst is v.2.
I'm late to this party, too, evidently. Warbotron.com isn't even functioning. One wonders if they're still a company...
PM me you beat price shipped to NY.
Got a fierce attack off of ebay and it's missing one of the little leg flaps/tabs that plug into the feet in cab mode, anyone know where I might be able to find one?
anyone have details on the shoulder mod for brawl. I recall some folks modding it to allow for greater movement, although it did require some cutting of the inside of the treads. My google-fu is failing as I can't seem to find it.
never mind, me and my infinite wisdom forgot I bookmarked it ages ago.
Yeah, the Tekering mod.
Is there any interest in a set of replacement ankle ratchets using Shapeways? I've got a set of them arriving in a few days and will post more info if they work out.
I know Killinger made some a while back but don't believe they are available any more so there may some interest for those that have broken ratchets.
So, I got the shapeways ratchet replacements in, but haven't had much time to post the details until now.
Here they are:
It was a simple matter to take the feet apart and inserted the new ratchets. The ratchet is now very very stiff (more on that later). I put everything back together, and put him into a stance to try out the new ratchets:
So that's the good news. The bad news (if you look closely) was that between the putting in the new parts, and the stiffness of the ratchets, I managed to strip the screw holes in the feet. So I ended up drilling through the plastic there and inserting a bolt and using a nut on the other side of the ratchet to secure it. I took a close up of the modified foot as well:
But overall I'm happy with the modification. The bolt is not a big difference, and it holds rock solid now, so it's a trade off I'm willing to make.
Nice work! I attempted this myself. My v1 came out close, but if your proto is done I'd rather just buy something that's ready. I don't need another project.
Nice work! Same thing happened to me. The screw holes on my set of feet also stripped. I was able to get it to work by stuffing some strips of paper inside it, but I think it's only a temporary fix. What diameter screw did you end up using?
Still looks good! If it bothers you, you could always paint/prime the silver head of the screw and it'd be even less visible but honestly, I didn't see in in your first pic till you pointed it out anyhow. Just too much awesome going on there to notice it.
If you would like to give it a go, you can get it from Shapeways at WB01 Ankle Set by Xylaant on Shapeways
I ended up using a 2mm wide bolt along with a washer on the outside and the corresponding nut on the inside. I ended up using a 20mm long bolt. It was longer than it needed to be, but there is plenty of room within the foot.
