Since some people said plastic is expensive because of high oil prices, but now that oil is at its almost all time low, are we going to see lower prices? HELL NO!!!

I think Apollyons price reflects the current market.

Fanstoys are still priced at early2014 reality.

The next round of preorders that go up in the spring should be interesting.

Because oil prices were the issue once upon a time. Right now the much larger cost growth is Chinese labor. The cost has quickly gone up in recent years.

^ I wouldn't count on it. Most of the time you do get what you pay for.

Well, Hasbro started producing the Combiner Wars figures in Vietnam, and the build, paint, and plastic quality is noticeably better than previous releases.

Really? Because all three seem to be getting worse with every wave, especially the plastic quality.

Of Combiner Wars? The design/engineering may be debatable, but the paint apps are top notch, and the build feels better than Beast Hunters, AoE, and Generations 3.0.

Anyway, my point was Vietnam seems to be a very good alternative to China in producing TFs. I don't like the shoddy craftsmanship we have gotten from some 3Ps, and even previous MP releases. Not to mention MP KOs that appear so quickly after the release of the official figure. Maybe all of these risks/issues may be eliminated my moving production out of China.

Actually, I have to hand it to them. The Deluxe's are great and thus far the voyagers are pretty good too. Scouts seem to be good too. Granted the deluxes are mostly copies of each others transformations and parts, and the voyagers have simple transformations, but I can look past that because in all honesty? It's a neo G1 Nostalgia bit of awesomeness. They managed to make scramble city combiners with articulation and combiners with articulation that's pretty good. I mean, as much as I love M3, and Quantron, and Feral Rex, Hasbro's Superion beats the gestalt modes in regards to articulation and perhaps playability to a degree.

I mean, I love the aesthetic of the 3P stuff I own, and M3 will be my true Menasor, simply because of how awesome he is, and the fact the individual toys are awesome too(And I love the complexity.). But Hasbro did really well with Superion and Combiner wars in general.

plastic quality has nothing to do with location. its whatever the engineer at hasbro or takara specifies. i believe mp-10 was built/assembled in vietnam btw. vietnam is just the next mini china as labor rates near port cities in china are almost like 8X what they were just 10 years ago

    Ah those were the days.
