Anyone else getting really nervous about how the truck parts on onslaught where the arms plug in are always sagging in these shots?

 

I think part of that is camera angle. If you're talking about what I'm seeing the shoulders still appear to sit flush with the side of the cap/windshield at the connection points.

 

I did notice that all the shots seemed to be from the same angle, makes his torso look short in length

 

it would seem that they've quagmired themselves in the same situation many third parties are getting in to. Too many projects at once.

That, or they had to go back to the factory and put a hold on everything because too many people don't know how to paint their own canopy frames.

I'll likely blame the latter.

 

The thing about the combaticons is, to me, that they all are individually interesting. The team has received a lot of good character development over the years from many different versions of transformers.


Some of the combiner teams as individual bots are not that cool until you combine them. NThere is so much personality on this team, if the last figures never came out I don't think it make me throw the other 3 away.



That being said.... Cmon warbotron, make with the plastic!

 

If any one is interested in dumping their heavy noisey I'm in the market and have either TFC rampage or headstrong for trade or a mib mp acid storm.

 

Still no. I still think it's intentional to give him upper-body width. Makes him look muscular. Of course we're trained to look for nothing but perpendicular angles and parallel lines. Anything that's not at a 90 degree angle from something else is clearly... wrong. Because Transformers have always been boxy.

Again, I like it.

Why wouldnt you finish one before starting another?

That was a little odd, they announced the Combaticons... then announced plans for the Stunticons... then skipped them and moved on to Technobots for no apparent reason other than to make sure people knew they were making them too perhaps to take some attention from Maketoys.

But then... seems to be the nature of third parties. They've got the attention span of a bloodhound in a field where squirrels rain from the sky.

I guess we should consider ourselves lucky they haven't launched a dinobot team.

 

while I agree with you about alternate angles to construe depth and strength, they are referring to the gaps in the alignment of the torso-to-shoulders, as well as the alignment/angle...

if you looked more closely, you'd have the same inkling... it looks to not support the weight of the arms...

 

stop it... we have enough dinobots from 3rd parties... what if they're reading right now? lol

 

I did look as closely as can be looked with the pictures we have and no, I don't have the same inkling. I draw a completely different conclusion. That said, I wouldn't stake my life on it, but given that the gap has been present on all the pictures since the first releases, I think it's deliberate.

All the praise they had gotten from the beginning has gone out the door. We could have been one bot shy of Bruticus, and Afterburner is all by his lonesome self. What a stupid release schedule.
