Does anyone have an issue with the legs of Air Burst popping(not bending correctly) in and out when you bend them? I was wondering if there was a fix or new legs. TFS sent me another leg and it does the same thing. I have opened both legs and it happens when they get off the track that slides them in and out. Also, it's the left leg for some reason, the right seems to be fine.

    Thanks

Sure do. This just started happening this evening with my left leg on my V2 Air Burst. The locks for that slider joint have to be the worst I have ever seen. The tiny ridge on one side is all smooshed at one end which I suspect is a consequence of the leg popping out of position. I'm going to see if I can reinforce the ridge with some super glue or something. If that doesn't work I think I small styrene shim towards the top of the channel should work to keep the slider in the correct orientation and not pop out.

I'm going to talk with Rob at TFS to see if this can get fixed or in the works to. I will let you know when he gets back to me.

    Thanks guys

    These leg issues concern me.

Figures at this price should be extensively tested prior to release.

Not just WB I am referring to but other companies who seem to test up to a point and then ship to retailers.

We certainly shouldn't be having to fix a set of figures that will run someone almost half a grand when all is said and done.

I agree, my first sly strike was a train wreck. Now don't bend my legs to far because they might dislocate/Air knee burst...lol

I tried shaving the peg so it fits in the groove properly, not much luck there.. it does bother me somewhat since that will be bruticus' elbow
but i dont think i'll have much luck trying to change it over something so minor.. maybe later on if it really does bug me in arm mode i'll take it apart again to find a better fix

FIXED: I just checked mine. One leg was doing it, but it was an easy fix. I just pulled out again (it clicked) and the knee didn't do it anymore. I think the problem is there isn't enough clearance for the knee to bend if you don't have it fully extended. I was even able to recreate the issue intentionally by collapsing the leg and then not pulling very hard to extend it. If only they were all this easy.

Yeah I can get it back, but it goes back off track if you bend it to far and by far I mean just a little. My right one can bend all the way back and it's a non issue. I have two lefts with the same issue.

Yours is probably just like mine, the small ridges that provide the click are damaged. Warbotron uses a fairly soft plastic and one of the ridges is smashed flat at one end, allowing the leg slider to pop out. The softer leg plastic is not a good match for the harder, very small, ridge on the slider mechanism below the knee joint. It's a very bad design in my opinion. It would not be an issue if the rest of the leg socket was flush up against the slider, but there are cavities on front and back and that space gives room for the lock mechanism to fail.

I just noticed that Captured Prey sold out of the first three. I forget, what other retailers do we know of that received the V2s?

Can someone please tell me the difference between the V1 and V2's? I don't even know which ones I have.

If you mean Air Burst, V2 has ratcheting hips.

If you mean Heavy Noisy V2 that lacks some tabs on the handles of the
    hand guns.(?)

Sly Strike...i dont think there is a V2 of that (?) With no actual news on Whirlwind i've started to forget about them so may have missed something on that.

Has there been any talk of Warbotron offering replacement hip parts for people stuck with the v1 Airburst?

I'm surprised about the long silence about the release date as well.

Other than speculation as to said parts coming with Whirlwind or Nonslaught, i don't think so.

Parts are being sold on eBay if you're impatient and willing to throw 20 bucks at the problem.

They showed an official picture of a baggy of the new parts and an instruction sheet on how to mod the figure months ago. Their is definitely a v2 upgrade set but we don't know how we're going to get it.
