Loosen the screws on the forearms, it will be easier to retract and extend the arms during transformations. This will help a lot.

Yep already realized that after I shot the video. Was in a bit of a rush while filming as I wanted to get it up asap.

Yeah theirs not enough clearance to get the legs or the head even underneath it without doing so. But its his main weapon and shield so at least it has a functionality bonus from being removable.

Yeah, this loses a lot of my interest because of that. I've been able to get myself to deal with the fact that parts of their altmodes are removable weapons, but the fact that Air Burst's can stay attatched during transformation so I can ignore that feature was a big plus.

There's no hiding it here and I can't ignore the fact this is a partsformer now, which means I'll be passing on the whole set for sure. Ah well, thanks for the review though. :)

    Ley Lazy,

I know Brawl has been improved a lot from Blast Off, but how does he compare to the MMC Feral Cons in terms of Quality / Tabs / Plastic / Paint / Tightness ?

I think they are pretty much the same plastic quality.

Let me echo this. I couldn't budge mine until I loosened it. It didn't take much, either. Maybe a quarter turn each.

He's incredibly solid, very firm and hefty. Once you have him in tank mode he just feels like a literal brick of plastic :lol  So yeah the plastic is the same as AB's in that it feels like a really hard plastic from the energon/cybertron toy era figures, not the more modern softer feeling generations stuff so sure I'd put it on par with mmc's.

While he still has no ratchets just like AB, unlike AB all of his joints are much tighter. For example if you shake AB he flops around a bit, you shake noisy no flopping.

I'd still prefer them to have ratchets but his basic friction joints get the job done nicely.

I think its weird to say that now given how long we've known how much of a partsformer set this is.

Their Onslaught's entire rear trailer has to disconnect and split in half for combined mode, in regular robot mode it seems to have no function. Same with his back guns and combiner waist/chest plate.
Their Vortex's entire front portion of the helicopter has to pop off to become his gun for robot mode as well.

To be honest, I haven't paid that much attention to these guys because I'm not a fan of the combined mode. After seeing how Air Burst's boosters can stay on when transformed into bot mode, I hoped that Heavy Noisy's turret could do the same.Sadly it can't, but it's for the best that I find out now.

As for their Vortex, I had no idea the entire front portion of his copter mode was his gun. That's definitely a no go for my shelf.:lol

I don't mind it a bit that the turret comes off. I'm not that picky. It makes sense, given that it's his weapon and shield.

Sweet bit of engineering for his leg/foot transformation. I like that.

I don't like articulated fingers. I don't understand the fandom's fascination with extra, tiny pieces that can potentially break off.

I really like the simple transformation. Simple makes me happy. It just looks like he needs some loosening up (as has already been stated).

In the end, the only thing stopping me from picking these up is, as always with 3rd party figures, the price. I really hope Hasbro has been paying attention to how much 3rd parties are making them look like chumps and can somehow do some amazing things with their combiners next year.

Hands that break off? I think you are being a little over dramatic here....out of all the Alternators, MP's and third party figures that have hands like this I've never once been worried they'll break.

They look far superior to a block with a hole in it and can add a little bit of character:

The good thing about these hands are they have a little groove in them so if you don't want to open them to put a gun in you don't have to, just slide the gun into the closed hand and the groove keeps it tight.

I thought the toy was boring until I saw the transformation for the lower legs/feet. Well done!

Thank you! I was worried I was about to snap the arms in two. Now I've just got to figure out a similar fix for Quakewave...

Anyone else getting white stress marks on the fists from putting the small pistols in? There's a slot in the hand, but there are tabs on both sides of the gun handles and one pushes the thumb outwards when putting it in.
