Thinking about gettinf one or the other right now so which one hegemon or assaulter , Also i have a classcis megatron but hegemon is so much better lol

 

If it's only going to be one, I'd say Hegemon. Both are great, but Hegemon is, in my book, the definitive representation of a truly iconic character.

Definitely Hegemon.

 

I'd go for Assaulter. He is a triple changer, has more charm, and come swith his own story. Plus, it's FP quality we are talking about here. On the other side, Hegemon has a lot more problem than Assaulter, and he looks too much a g1 modernized replica than a modern reincarnation.

 

Personally, I don't understand the love that Hegemon gets.

He's so blocky looking...

Not the greatest looking gun mode, either.

 

Assaulter, Hegemon is jank.

 

I own both and love them both. But if I had to chose one it would be Hegemon!

Assaulter would be my pick. Hegemon looks pretty boring, tired and uninspired to me.

 

I do not own any of the two yet. But I cannot believe Hegemon is winning so far. Assaulter looks amazing compared to Hegemon.

 

Assaulter for sure, Fansproject earned it's reputation.

 

Ask yourself deep down inside, "Do i want Megatron or Do i want Broadside?" . The answer will reveal itself

Hegemony, not just because he's awesome, but I predict increasing rarity. Then you can get Assaulted later...he'll likely be more common and available.

 

Hegemon the best G1 megs on the market, I predict Takara will take cues from it when they make the next MP Megs. Also I agree that it will get harder to get the longer you wait.

hegemon's a kind of downscaled masterpiece, with incredible cartoon accuracy and an "updated 80's toy" kind of engineering style.

assaulter is an update to a character with no recent toy, in a style that hasn't been done on the toy before, of a character with no real classics representation. he also fits in with another one of fansproject's offerings.

take your pick.

 

But if they do, they'll do it way better. Hegemon's blocky shins and tall blocky shoulders and tiny hands and head... ugh. Plus that hilarious contraption they call a stock.

 

I'd say assaulter, who has dozens of cool alt modes, is much better than Hegemon, who has no decent alt modes, but I'm not a fan of devices-formers.

 

Assaulter for me. There's just something about Hegemon that feels wrong.

 

I'm really torn on what to recommend. See, both are truly awesome and amazing in their own way. It really depends on what you're looking for and where the niche is that needs to be filled. Hegemon scales nicely with the classics, though I figure chances are good of an updated Masterpiece Megatron before too long. Assaulter is all kinds of amazing and will probably not ever receive the superb treatment from HasTak that he's gotten from Fansproject. If I were forced to only get one I think Assaulter wins.
