Can anyone please tell me what happed to war within prowl. The figure was shown last May and I still have not seen it out yet. Does anyone know if or when this figure will be released as it looks outstanding.
Sadley, the Titanium line has been canceled, so him, WW Grimlock, Soundblaster w/Ravage, WW Skywarp, Primal Prime, WW BB & CJ, Arcee, Shockwave, and Bludgeon, won't be made. The later 4 designs didn't even make it to the mold making stage, and we don't even have any pictures of what Bludgeon would have looked like.
Yeah, I was really looking forward to WW Prowl. It looked like an awesome mold. I was hoping for WW Bluestreak and WW Smokescreen repaints, but alas none of that will ever happen.
At the very least, we'll be getting a Universe Prowl this year. He should be a pretty cool TF. That and there's Animated Prowl. While not a homage to G1 or anything, he does look to be a really good TF figure.
There's a chance the Universe Prowl mold could be the Titanium Prowl figure (albeit cast entirely in plastic). It wouldn't quite work well with the theme of realistic alternate modes, however, which also does not bode well for Cosmos.
Interesting theory there. One can hope... if for the only reason to watch the fanboys explode with rage. Always good for a giggle or two.
No, sorry, but there's no chance that they'll release the WW design of Prowl in Universe. Having a line consisting of Earth cars, trucks, planes, etc. makes this pretty much a certainty since his Cybertronian mode would not fit in with the overall going theme of other homaged 'key character' Autobots. Cosmos, on the other hand, actually has a better chance since he was always a flying saucer aka "space craft" to begin with. If they released his unused Titanium design, it could just as easily pass as an updated G1 homage as it could for being a so-called WW design, and would be no more out of place than any of the movie & post movie figures ala Arcee, Kup, Blurr, Cyclonus or anyone else with futuristic looking designs. But according to Hasbro, the reason they initially axed the idea of releasing Cosmos in the first place was because they didn't think they could sell "a green disc". Which is too bad since it's such an amazing redesign of a character that was otherwise pretty underwhelming.
