This is My battle damaged Primus. I never really cared for this figure mostly due to simple transformation.
So I decided to try some different techniques that I haven't done before.
There are several layers of paint for the base coats, and several colors done by hand for the details.
I mostly battle damaged with various tips on the dremel.
Then added the light.

And I really like the hollow spaces. Makes it look more like in the WfC and FoC game fiction and the new Cyberverse show. And that way you got rid of some alt mode kibble in robot mode.

 

Wow, that feels like the war itself has scared primus and he looks like he is dying.

You really brought out the detail in this fig. This might be the best Primus custom I've seen. The contrast of colors really sells the depth and scale.

 

Nice work! The paint job and the battle scars really do make this look like a planet that went through a war.

Thanks, i amlost/still might, do a couple graffiti type tags on him. Like hes been dormant for eons and bots just stop there and mess around.

I had an idea to do something similar with an incomplete figure I found at a flea market a few years ago. His poor butt flap was missing  which reminded me of the giant damaged hole in the G1 cartoon . But then my kid found it and claimed it 

 

Damn, he looks like hell. Like he was at war with himself.

 

Is the planet going to be more of an oc like junk heap planet or more like primus like battle damage? And if it isn’t either of these two you could consider them if I want too, maybe a unicron from Hassan unicron or armada unicron or a unicron made from earth, like in transformers prime? I think tlk was going to do the same storyline before they got stopped.
