My wife picked up this guy from Walmart for me for Christmas. Amazed she actually bought me a figure, she's usually against them.

Really great toy. Right alt mode, right size, right design... I'm not a huge fan of the Siege cassettes (if only because the MP ones are better), but probably the best mainstream Soundwave we're ever going to get.

I would like to thank the US post office for, in Soundwave's journey from Connecticut to neighboring New York City, allowing it the chance to visit scenic Oshkosh Wisconsin.

And amazed she could find one considering the rather high demand.

Yeah, I was pretty surprised. Told her to get it because I would never see it again.

Picking my Netflix Soundwave up after work today.

EDIT: Tomorrow. Smyths say they want photo ID but I didn't have any on me so I didn't go.

Mine finally showed up from WalMart and I love it. It fixes almost everything I didn’t like about the Siege toy. Would have been nice if they removed the landing gear from his arms but that’s a minor nitpick.

I was very happy the Shockwave Lab arm/hand covers I had on Siege Soundwave still work on this mold and once installed they make him look even better.

Anyone else having trouble getting Lazerbeak to clip onto Soundwave's forearm? The legs feel almost TOO tight, so he pops right off without clipping.

Ours doesn't stay on either. Don't have Siege Soundwave or Soundblaster to compare with. Tried Spy Patrol Laserbeak; his right leg will stay on Soundwave's left arm but that's about it.

There's always the heat gun approach to make it work, but haven't felt compelled enough to do that yet.

True. Plus I realized right after posting that I can fold his legs up and use his shield-peg to keep him in place.

I held Lazerbeak in place by its feet for maybe 5 seconds to get the plastic of the legs to get in shape to grip the arm to secure.

Did a head-swap with my Siege Soundwave. The arms, feet, and a few bits around the torso/pelvis have Siege parts, so it blends in well. G1 Soundwave was one of my favorite toys as a kid, so I prefer the yellow eyes.

Overall, it’s the voyager class Soundwave we CHUG collectors have been waiting to own for nearly two decades. It has some gaps in alt-mode. I’m not sure about the yellow around the cassette door. Otherwise, it’s CHUG Soundwave. What more can I say.

That’s an issue it inherited from the Siege mold. Most people do what you describe in your later post: use the peg instead.

I haven’t opened mine yet. It looks great, though.

I'll try that! Did you heat the legs up first? Or just did it cold?

Cold, as I look over now and Lazerbeak is still gripping after a day. Don't need to press on the legs either, just hold it in place, but not too hard that you are pressing it down that would make the legs spring up when released.

Should grip well as I just did a minor shake test.

Finished removing the arm kibble. Need the arm fillers now.
With laserbeak I just scrapped away the molding line on the bottoms of his feet and that worked for me.
