Post 1 of 2: Main Review post Nice, we finally get a Seeker in army camo...uh, what, this is "Sparkless"? As with some other reviews, this will mainly focus on differences compared to the prior figures and show various pictures. Split into 2 posts due to issues with Sparkless Singe. This Netflix Voyager 3-pack contains Voyager class Sparkless Seeker, Battle Master class Sparkless Singe, and Battle Master class Sparkless Caliburst. All 3 are redecos of prior molds with no new parts. The base plastic colors and paint apps are changed. Contrary to an earlier posting about this figure, the face sculpt is NOT new for Sparkless Seeker. It's the same smirk face found on other seekers except for differences in paint and plastic colors. Not going to go over articulation in great detail, but it's the same excellent articulation as the other Siege Seekers. The chest is the updated type that stays on better. The ankles on ours also work properly and do not spring back to neutral position (posted fix for this earlier for other Seekers). The deco is a mixed bag depending on what you want. The figure is beautifully painted with a similar style to Hotlink. However, he does not look like "Sparkless" or undead. He does not match the Netflix show. He really does look like a Seeker with army camo. His base plastic colors are now army green, black, and translucent brown for the chest, canopy, and lightpiping. The render shows transparent brown, but the final is translucent. The main issue with this is that it essentially removes lightpiping from the face. The eyes are also painted over with red. Here are screen captures for comparison: Dark lighting scene: Brighter lighting scene: Accessories: Sparkless Seeker includes his 2 Null Rays, Singe has his 2 Siege blast effects (don't have original version to see if same type of green), and Caliburst has his 1 Siege blast effect (also don't have original to compare). As common with blast effects, they did have mild severity warping which I fixed with a heat gun. Sparkless Singe: Maybe it's mold degradation but had issues with Singe. His blaster nozzles / backpack doesn't fit properly. When cutting Singe loose from packaging, his backpack was already off. There are warping issues in the backpack, so it wouldn't stay on well in either mode. See the 2nd post regarding fixes. The new Singe has only 1 base plastic color this time with every other detail painted on. He's in the same army camo deco as Sparkless Seeker. Bot mode: Alt mode: Sparkless Caliburst: Had no issues with Caliburst at least. Transforms well, and the backpack stays on snug. His deco however doesn't match the rest of the set, so he will stick out. He's molded in 2 base plastic colors. I do like his new deco, and most of his torso is painted over black (except the handle). As with Siege Fracas, his colors are "reversed" when compared to the render. Bot mode: Alt mode: Sparkless Seeker: Bot mode: Front view: Rear view: Comparison with Hotlink on left and Acid Storm on right: Alt mode: Another view: Comparison with Hotlink on left and Acid Storm on right: Conclusion: The Siege Seeker mold gets another use. We do like the new deco, and he is wonderfully painted. The figure may create a problem for those who want an "undead" bot. He does not look at all like a zombie bot. If anything, he really does look like he has army camo instead (and well done for that ironically). Sparkless Caliburst works well. Sparkless Singe, however, has a backpack that doesn't stay on. There is likely mold degradation with that piece but is 100% fixable as shown in the next post (with the proper tools). If you like the Siege Seekers, then this is a recommended set.
