No. Retooled version of the mold without the Combiner stuff.

They are pretty good at first I had a hard time getting him to stand but then I found out that he is mistransformed in box as you have to flip out the heels but afterwards he stands really well. I just love how G1 they look. If I'm honest after messing with him I'm even more excited for Barricade and I hope we get a Bluestreak & Smokescreen out of them. I'd be ok if they milk this mold.

Yeah Chromia is not a direct reuse of the POTP Moonracer mold but I can feel more then see some similarities its weird. But I'd totally be ok if they redid Moonracer in the same way they did Chromia here as well as use this figure for Greenlight now then Moonracer.

I have an explanation for the alt modes. They arrived from earth with their Earth alt-modes, and then adapted them to the cybertronian landscape.

I agree, it’s nice to have some cohesion in the aesthetic. I love all the sculpted details that they’ve been putting on these figures.

I don’t think Megatron matches at all though, despite all the other figures looking the part. He has non of the detailing that are on the other figures and looks really strange standing next to Soundwave, Starscream, shockwave. Even the design philosophy is completely different, as is seen with his limited articulation and the way he his put together.
As an example, look at the back of the head which has an exposed ball joint, this is contrary to the rest of the line.

I agree with you completely about Megatron. I really noticed it when I put him next to Shockwave.

I honestly don't remember, it was an extra from a combiner wars figure...I believe.

Now the big question, how easy is it to remove the battle damage paint.

Hoping there's no battle damage paint on top of red paint.

Shine a black light on the side of the packaging and a secret message in Cybertronian glyphs will appear. It can be decoded online.

No worries mate. All red plastic. It's the silver over teh blue on Starscreams leg that will be the issue.

I think as far as hasbro goes and transformers we are presently witnessing a type of renaissance. There hasnt been as much excitement and jump in quality and passion for a transformers line in a long time and while there are still a few “non-believers” out there who still havent jumped on the line they are missing out big time! I mean, just look at that garbage hasbro tried to pass off as starscream from the power of the primes line and compare it to the new siege version, its just beyond words! Its hard to belief these two figures are just a few years apart, seems like hasbro had no respect for the fans and with siege its a complete 360 and theyre not only giving us the characters we want but theyre adding quality, nice sculpts, no stickers and its a real improvement! Toys from hasbro like that starscream from potp is the reason i stopped collecting, i mean how can i walk into a store and pay for that starscream and proudly display it? I just couldnt. Siege on the other hand look great and dont look like “toys for kids”, its more adult-collector oriented and the more you add on the shelf the greater they look, they really look like they come from the same universe and theyre all at war!

Siege wave 2 deluxes have been acquired!
    Into my initial thoughts.

Ironhide: I would probably rank him one of the best deluxes of the line so far. He feels hefty, his articulation is great and he just feels solid. His vehicle mode is ok and the paint is pretty good besides the little knick around the windshield mine came with sadly. I know the back of his arms will bother some people, but it doesn’t bother me so much.

Six gun: If you loved cog and the weponizer gimmick you’re going to love Six gun. Simple as that.

Prowl: I’m surprised how much I actually like this one. The figure looks much better in person than photos. The articulation is great as well. (Besides one part) The black paint is very nice it has a metallic tone to it. His vehicle mode is nifty looking and the transformation is ok. The only problem I have with Prowl is that his head feels like it’s going to rip off the balljoint because of how tight it is.

Chromia: She’s not a bad figure in any means. She just feels like the weakest deluxe out of the bunch for me. If you like the moonracer mold, you will like Chromia. Her vehicle mode is nice though in my opinion and she looks great with Ironhide.

Anyways onto the group photo of all the siege autobots so far that I have.

    And of course.
