Got Magnus today, they had shockwave as well, but I couldn’t convince myself to get both at the same time. I shouldve just gotten him, there’s no question I’m gonna pick him up at some point. Hell I might take that 30 min drive again and get him tomorrow.

Here’s some further evidence (beyond what was already practically an admission by idw) that Magnus is being remolded into galaxy force Prime:

This spark chamber resembles (which sits behind Magnus’s belt) resembles the one that sits below Galaxy Prime’s matrix chamber.

It’s not an exact copy, but it feels like its intended as an homage.

I just picked up the leaders from Target. I haven't opened them yet but I am pretty excited too

I support the theory of WFC-S Leader OP being a Galaxy Convoy homage however this is a major stretch, it's just circular molding and that chest opening on Prime is for him matrix not a spark chamber

I saw that also, still a reach and the two are not very similar besides being circular in nature. I do recognize that more so as a possible spark chamber however .

You don't have to believe that the detail is a spark chamber if you don't want, its just something I saw that made sense to me. A hidden spark chamber has been sculpted on various figures for a long time and all the spark chambers so far have similar details. A circle split by a toothed line.

Again, this isn't something new. It seems unlikely to me that they would just put the same kind of detail (a circle split with a toothed line) on Magnus for no reason when he is being remolded into Galaxy Convoy.

 

yea i prefer the current scale if it was by the PotP the deluxes like sideswipe and hound would need to be the size on sieges optimus prime.

Not sure if this has already been asked, but does siege soundwave have a hidden tape deck mode? Really excited for that figure, but I'm not overly fond of that 'spaceship' mode...

 

I really wish they would have ditched the whole cybertronian alt mode bs. My love for Prime is so bitter sweet. Lol. Its awesome all around but why couldn't they just given us a regular cab. Same with that ultra mangnus. If he had a regular cab, I would have bought him with shockwave no questions asked.

Siege has been amazing so far. Just irritated we didn't get OG characters like this xD hopefully they are just fleecing us and will re release some of these guys in their proper alt modes.

 

Yeah that's why I haven't fully jumped aboard siege yet. While the robots look utterly fantastic, I'm still not sold on these cybertronian modes... I've considered getting prime and Megatron on numerous occasions, but could never really pull the trigger. And with prime it kinda hurts because he looks so similar to his G1 cab, but it's like they added in some extra bits just to make it 'cybertronian'. Might be cool for others, but it isn't my thing personally

Will probably end up getting soundwave still regardless because he's my favorite G1 character  

 

i personally never cared for their vehicle mode . would be sweet if one line just straight up ditches it, and i mean like this size of a line. but thats just me i guess.

 

I like the modularity of Chromias gun but i think im just going to use the long barrel/scope piece as a suppressor and see if i can store the other 2 blue pieces on her as grenades

 

The reviewer's use of a text-to-speech device and lack of use of a spellchecker was off-putting. And are we sure that's not somehow mistransformed? The backpack seems much larger than it's appeared to be in other photos.
