I really like Crosshairs in this mold. I should look into those big tire upgrades too.
I'm personally kind of a fan of the big underwear lol. Nothing screams G1 transformers more than that or Peter Cullen's Optimus voice. But I did make an edit where his waist was extended down rather than his pelvis up. The problem I found with that is that he looks like he's wearing a Speedo riding low on his hips. I'll take tall underwear over that any day
As for the thin thighs, I agree but there's really not much that can be done about that while retaining transformation. The thigh upgrades could extend up and around his thighs, and even to the inside to make them thicker and reduce his awkwardly wide thigh gap, but then that would take away the ability to transform considering how his thighs fold into his lower legs
As for the alt mode, his rear treads will be further back and apart, but he's already a pretty obvious H-tank, and his rear treads are independent so it won't be breaking up any sculpt. As for the tabbing mechanism, the plan is for his bot mode side skirts to fold out to the sides and act as a new tab for his legs, accounting for the thigh extensions. So he should still tab in just as solidly as he did before
I'm sure the parts would be compatible, but as said above, the legs will sit further back and further out to the sides in alt mode, so the ER version wouldn't have a cohesive tank mode anymore with these upgrades
The area where the mirror image starts is actually about where the "lats" would end and the obliques would start to "spring/flare" out but, everyone is used to seeing that obscured by overdeveloped muscles that drop down like a vertical wall rather than an "hourglass". That's where the waist would be measured. The black plastic that forms the pelvis starts about where the obliques would start to end with the edges forming where the "gluteus medius" is when viewed from the front profile. That's what everyone considers to be the waist when purchasing clothes but, it's actually the "abdomen" measurement. The hip measurement is taken around halfway down the "gluteus maximus" since that's the widest point and this is typically called the "seat" in clothing. In other words, the black plastic is actually sitting a lot higher in that image than most people will probably think it is. It would need to start further down (probably about where the grey hip pieces start as that's where the thighs would begin to bow/flare out) to be a "low-rise" fit or to "slink" on the hips. It's mostly the curvature of the the black plastic pelvis that creates the illusion. It most likely wouldn't be present if they had designed the pelvis and hips like Siege Optimus Prime's.
It's a good look but, it's obviously not going to be for everyone because of perception, misconception, preference, and a laundry list of other reasons.
Shockwave - "I have built four new Decepticon warriors for you lord Megatron!"
Megatron - "Excellent! Show me!"
Shockwave - "I call this one Red Wing!"
Megatron - "Another Seeker? Really? They're so boring! I sure hope the other three are more interesting!"
Warpig - "Hi! I'm Warpig!"
Typhoon - "And I'm Typhoon!"
Megatron - "You know for a genius, you sure lack an imagination!"
Shockwave - "You'll love the last one! It's not a Seeker I promise!"
Megatron - "If it's a reflector drone I'm going to hit you! SHOW ME!!"
Shockwave - "Now, I haven't turned him on yet! I need to finish up some programming in his brain first!"
Shockwave - "Behold! Galvatron!"
Megatron - "BAD SHOCKWAVE!!!!"
Megatron - "BAD SHOCKWAVE!!!!"
I have a question for anyone who owns Sixgun and the Megatron mold. Can any part of Sixgun be used as wings to mimic the ones the Shattered Glass version has? I've got a Combat Megs I was gonna use as my version but I don't have a 3d printer to print the set off Thingiverse (I believe is the website) and I thought Sixgun may work. Anyone who could check for me the help is appreciated!!!!
Starscream - "What are you two smirking about?"
Starscream - "Especially you! You're supposed to be a zombie bot! Since when do zombies smile?"
Warpig - "He knows too much!"
Red Wing - "He'll have to be eliminated!"
Starscream - "AAHHH!!! When will I learn to mind my own business?"
"The New Leaders Are Here!"
I do really like the cinched waist look that edit has for Megatron. It reminds me of Bumblebee movie Optimus design (which I absolutely love), with how the thinnest part of his torso is actually above the "hips"
The problem that arises with this Megatron specifically is how the pelvis piece is shaped. I did think about ways that it might be possible to recreate the design used on SS Hot Rod and Kingdom Rodimus, but that would be replacing a lot more of Siege Megs than I wanted to. All in all, the tall underpants is the design that I thought would work best for me
And speaking of it in terms of humans and clothing, I've always thought that pants tend to look more stylish on both men and women when they go all the way up to the actual waist instead of sitting somewhere on the hips anyway. I wish waist high pants would come back into fashion for men because those are so much more comfortable, along with looking better, imo
Yea I really slept on this figure. Glad I have it now

I still want a proper Earthrise version but, I was also a fool and passed on it several times until a couple of months ago.
Hasbro's Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver
Same here - was planning to skip it for a potential earthmode version (worked for Sideswipe, finally), but found SiegeHound for half price, didn't miss a beat
Now what I really regret passing on, is the Selects HotShot of him
