Megatron versus Dinobot again

 

Probably my fav thing from Siege was that I finally got a G1 cartoon accurate Springer, after sooo many years!  

Boy do I hate the battle damage crap though, it's always bothered me! So I finally got round to fixing at least the most annoying part with painting his shoulder things. I think it turned out pretty good and I'm happy with it now!  

No idea how I'd ever fix the chest, doesn't seem to rub off with alcohol stuff and painting that part isn't an option really unless I want to replace the Autobot symbol too... but meh the chest battle damage doesn't seem to stand out as much now with the nice clean as shoulders!

Long answer: Sealed stuff always tends to go up. By how much depends on the figure and it's availability of course.

Nothing new here, and if anything, it's getting worst since the last few years as once upon a time, there wasn't "collectors" in the numbers that we have now, so there's a serious market for anything that's "collectible", so I've never seen the type of jumps like I have in just the last 2-3 years.

Most times, if you can find something at normal pricing, you jump now-a-days as the availability of just about everything has been scarce and the odds of getting a deal is more about luck and someone that's cleaning their collection, a family clearing unwanted toys or such.

Heck, just the new stuff has been a crazy race or grab when you see it as so many have been near impossible to get and pre-ordering is nowhere a certainty anymore as many get cancelled, to the point that people would rather pre-order from multiple places and end up with a double (to return or resell) than miss it... and even then, some ended up cancelled at the multiple places.

 

You know, at first I was all-in on Earthrise Starscream. But the Siege Seeker (in robot mode only, mind you. Screw tetra-jets) has become my favorite.

 

I received an in-stock notice about the Siege Netflix Megatron 3-pack and ordered it at retail price last week. It says it should arrive by Wednesday, but no shipping notice yet.

I'm wondering if this is just going to sit at "Preparing order" until it gets cancelled. I'm used to that with Walmart pre-orders, but haven't seen it with in-stock orders before.

Something about Cliffjumper's blast effect reminds me of one of my toys I keep by the bed.

 

I use Hotlink as my Siege Skywarp but oh how I would have loved to have the actual Skywarp

 

I think Hotlink almost makes a better Skywarp than Skywarp.
He’s actually black and that metallic purple looks nice.

 

You're gonna have to take that up with ss86 scourge. He must have snuck in and stole yours.

I didn't really care for how dusted his shoulder pads looked, the yellow on Springer looks really good and it's a shame it's halfway covered up, but it's also one of the very few times I was okay with battle damage look on any figures I own with the Siege line. (Being the Siege line looks okay, but other lines I don't care for like on Jurassic World) But...I enjoyed the mold so much I may have...gotten a few Springers over the course of a few months. Lol
Great job with the shoulders.

I would LOVE a SS version of Springer. Oh my gosh that would be so great. But until then, I'm okay with the one Siege one.

That would be a dream come true along with a Premium Deco Ironhide from the movies. (But that's for another thread)

I don't think I could want more than that really!

 

It wouldn't surprise me if they did a clean Springer now just because I finally got round to painting my Siege one lol, so look forward to it!
