Has anyone tried removing the treads off of megatrons back?
Got a 2nd deeseus drone and started turning this one into Ratchet. Printed steamshield's MTMTE Ratchet head for him and gonna start painting it shortly.
Oh yeah, that's the good stuff!
Every part of it is pinned, and beneath that is a flat plate which doesn't look great as a back, and beneath that is not much else, and it's all part of the assembly that his head attaches onto. I feel like you'd need some replacement parts\fillers to make it look better from behind, but otherwise it shouldn't be a big problem to push the pin out and set the treads aside. I don't like to mess with pins myself. Today is Cartoon Deco Megatron day!
Megatron: "BEHOLD! I have defeated all challengers! I stand supreme as ruler of Cybertron! BWAHAHAHAHA!"
Wheelie: "Losing stings! Now Wheelie King!"
Wheelie: "Without a head, you are dead!"
Wheelie: "Being king is new, what should I do?"
Springer: "Heyyy! What's the deal with that dusty old Transtector in the corner?"
Delta Magnus: "Some old war hero! They say no head can master it..."
Anyone ever try removing the black and silver paint damage off of Netflix Deep Cover?? I think Deep cover would look pretty nice in that blue color if he was all cleaned up!!
The blue is also paint so you would have to find a matching blue too.
You can try with 91% isopropyl, but as stated above the blue is paint and the plastic underneath is gray. The silver bits of "damage" at the bottom of the hood comes up easily and leaves you with gray spots, so be very careful if you try, but be prepared to do some repainting afterwards.
I actually wouldn’t recommend alcohol at least not on the windshield. I tried it and it cracked. Also, parts of the door hinges came off on both sides. It wasn’t enough to make them fall of, but they are loose now. Perhaps paint thinner would work better. I got a second Deep cover and just painted it. With the one that cracked I attempted to take off all the blue paint just to see how it would look. The paint thinner worked, but it took too long. I got impatient and just painted it silver.
Oh no he’s hot
Haha- nice. I did that last year with a different figure:
“Work it Omeggy”
I might be need to grab the Reflector set soon. If I see the normal one...oh yeah army building time
Made the window removable and chromed it. Couple other small things.
Omega Supreme vs. Devastator
That head looks sweet!
