Henkei Smokescreen and his replacement, the Siege version.

 

Just picked up Springer (again), and I noticed that the ankles are much better this time around...I picked one up when the figure was first released, and it suffered from loose ankles that affected stability. Not much of an issue this time, and the improvement does help me enjoy the figure much more...though I could do without the battle damage.

I did notice that the upper part of the chest doesn't lock into anything and can flip slightly open if you're posing the figure. Is that a common issue with the mold?

 

I’ve never heard the chest problem.

I have the loose ankles problem. It initially killed my interest in the figure.

 

There are two tabs on the bottom of the chest painted yellow, those tab in to the grey bits, they've have been either loose or tight on some of his figures

I don't think I was very clear in my first post, so I just want to make sure we're on the same page. The chest overall does lock in pretty solidly. I meant that the top of the chest doesn't really have a solid connection. It's not floppy-loose, but I wish it tabbed into something, unless I'm missing something?

This isn't a part that you typically pull on. In fact, you're typically pushing down on it as you move the arms. So it's not a big deal. But yeah, I think some locking tabs there would have been great.



As far as the the ankles, yeah, I've been noticing that some of the reissues (like Springer and Astrotrain) seem to have better tolerances. Or maybe I've been lucking out.

 

The same tabs I talked about are supposed to hold that too but they don't hold that great on most

I preferred the guns on forearms look too, over handheld. Flatness of the weapons lends itself to that.

I am surprised that he is a deluxe around the size of voyager Starscream (etc).

 

Jetfire as launching booster for the shuttle!

The jet is just sitting there to make the launch site look more robust.

Seige Megatron x Acid Rain marksman

 

If you don't mind, where did you get your AR Marksman? I got mine from BBTS, and it only dropped on today - the 1st of October (after a few other US retialers got theirs).
