I always loved the FP version of Chromedome! I have one displayed, but when I saw the black version for $25 on TFSource on black Friday, I couldn't pass it up, he's great!
I don't know why he's "Code". Except that FP was great with using puns and onomonipias when renaming their homages...

everyone is certainty entitled to their own opinions...and so I’ll be the respectful but dissenting opinion.

I feel like the siege artwork has been overly photoshopped and “grungeified” to mimic the whole war/battle damage/paint effects that has been a big staple of this line. I know a lot of people here on the boards love it, but to me the excessive-photoshopping detracts from the artwork itself.

But again, to each their own.

Do any of you think these Siege figures could be close to Earth mode figures? If not, which figures don't look like it?

I just think at the moment, with Earthrise coming with all earth vehicles, I am just confused with the combination of a full Autobot ark team.

 

Sideswipe/red alert for sure look enough like a lambo to fit right in.

 

Toy Hax sets can go a long way to bridging the gap, too!

If you’re only concerned about an Ark crew, I would say the Autobot candidates for this look reasonably close to an Earth mode. And like @Bravemaximike said, Toyhax Reprolabels can help make them look even more Earthian. Aside from Skyfire, GUOP’s trailer, the Weaponizers, Battlemasters, and Springer (who may or may not have had Earthian ‘future’ alt modes, but still looks he just stepped out of your TV), I’d say the rest of the Siege Autobots could have passable Earth alt modes. The ‘Cons I think stuck more to their Cybertronian roots in this line (not all of them). A lot of them were I think more overtly Cybertronian like Soundwave (official, not fan mode), Shockwave, and the Seeker Tetrajets. I tried not to adhere to what Hasbro was saying these figures were to supposed to be and just kinda judged them for myself. But I think Siege was a good fusion of Earthian and Cybertronian styles for the most part.

The other person I quoted above said it's because Chromedome is generally a computer programmer in most TF timelines   I am really tempted by the Virus version, but there are other things that are taking precedence right now.

And that's the problem for this line. The autobots are not cybertronian alt modes. We have had WFC/FOC and we have SEEN what toy cybertronrian modes can be and beyond Springer, these guys are too earthy.
