I did similar things and even made up new ones. I have been meaning to take pics. Sadly id probably have to do it sometime after the holidays.

Cant wait to see the pics. Might even give me a few new ideas.

 

Sorry for that..Same here, SOME items from Amazon.com will ship to Canada, but many won't.

But just keep digging. Took me months to get mine at a decent price.. same with a few others.

If I come across something decent, I'll try to let you know.

Well I like the plain or cartoon look so yeah there is that. Animated and cyberverse are in no way g1 cartoon anything.

 

Pardon me for being out of the loop, but what's going on with Battle Masters Rung/Singe? Did those hit and dry up already, or have those not yet his mass retail?

 

Smaller retailers were able to order cases and sold out rather quickly. People noticed them at comic shops first (usually, they get new toys last). Maybe check back on 1-1 to see if they'll get an official mass retail release. Barricade, as example, was not on any of the major retailer's pre-orders and just came out one day.

Some places only sold cases and not them individually. The online places that sold the cases / figures all overcharged for them. Some, a few dollars...and then there's Toywiz with a 1000% mark-up, sheesh.

I passed on Singe at a local comic store. I missed out on Rung locally. I got mine from toyarena from when they had him in stock (redeemed rewards to get him a little above MSRP).

I did, obviously any that come with two blast pieces are the way forward... I'll then display the bot, bot with his gun, and gun mode on a teammate.

Even Lionizer has been bought multiple times for Megatron's sword with effect, his own sword with effect, his bot mode with effect...

 

They really need to sell packs of just weapon effects bits. For one thing, the best bits come with Skyfire and Omega Supreme so there's no way I could afford to get more of them.

I think a Caddy or a BMW suits Megatron.

Frank Walker always described him as a mobster, which I never got from Walker’s performance, but I could definitely see an 80s Lex Luthor take on Megatron working.

Maybe if you want to get vaguely topical without really getting too political (which Classic TFs did with ecology lessons and assembly line worker revolts), put a spin on it. The Decepticons become allies of the world’s governments, manufacturing weapons. It fits with most of them having government issue alt modes.

And the Autobots seek total world disarmament and are branded as outlaws while Megatron attends the G7 and hobnobs with presidents and prime ministers and the Decepticons are celebrity ViPs and Megatron has a penthouse with a personal assistant. Starscream is a motion picture star. Thundercracker is his stunt double and a screenwriter. Soundwave works with the world’s intel agencies.

And the Autobots have no proof that the Decepticons are evil.

 

Agreed, but they're struggling to sell battle/micromasters otherwise at their RRP. It'd be different if they felt a bit more like Transformers instead of discount store attempts!
