I want to find a Japanese/toy style head for Crosshairs instead of Rebirth version.
I see a number of Magnus appreciation posts. Does anyone have the Ratchet Studios hip extender and gap filler kit for it? I ordered the kit a few days ago and am curious about the set.
Same here. I guess this is a good thing Toyhax exists...
I've been waiting forever for Dr.Wu DW-P46 Magnum Upgrade Kit from Showz if that counts.
Definitely gonna need more Cassette Bots out of Earthrise.
First time I’ve ever owned these figures in any version of the characters. For miniature spies, they’re pretty darn cool. They only make me want more (and secretly hope for an Earthrise Blaster and his Tape Bots). Between these two and Laserbeak and Ravage, I almost wish Siege Soundwave had a bigger chest compartment to hold them all (and no I’m not getting Soundblaster).
You respect my right to call this little dude Frenzy and I’ll respect your right to call him whatever you want. In my house growing up, Rumble was the grayish-blue punk-bot with pylons and an attitude. Frenzy was the red and black, loud, bully-bot that loved to fight. He was the one that wasn’t afraid of anything and he wasn’t afraid to let anyone know it.
Frenzy looks so good in his G1 color scheme and design. I love the chest details that are very reminiscent of G1 in that nice gold color. He’s got a nice head sculpt and is the most poseable of the Cassette Spies in this line.
I definitely would’ve liked for him to have his ground pounders (come on 3rd party, save Hasbro in this area again). But I like to think the stubs on his fists are little pistons that help him deliver a helluva punch for a little guy. Frenzy is my current favorite of the Tapes.
Ratbat looks so sinister for such a tiny thing. In spite of his stumpy little feet, this guy looks rather vile. It’s that very nice head sculpt. Ratbat has a beautiful vampire batbot head with gold paint on the eyes that could put you in a trance.
A couple unfortunate drawbacks for him are that his head doesn’t swivel. I almost wish it was on a ball joint instead of a really tight hinge. He can tilt it up a bit before you hit the support behind his head. I like that his wings can flap and are adjustable in and out, but a nice butterfly hinge for back and forth movement would’ve been super sweet to give him a cool flying pose. Above is the best I could do.
But Ratbat has a very nice resting wing position that just makes him look really evil. You can just see the ideas churning behind those hypnotic eyes. But so far my favorite thing about both of these figures is something I wish I had come up with first.
Frenzybat or Fracula here is a clever concept that was seen elsewhere in the thread and I’m using it too, and yes I’m keeping those names.
Overall, both are worthy additions to Soundwave’s miniature army of spies and they all look great together.
Actually found mine at a Walmart. So far, I think that’s the main place people are finding him early. Sorry your Walmart is behind the curve. It’s still kinda early for this Wave so hopefully you’ll find him soon.
Me too. He looks like he actually has a good chopper mode.
Right!? If only he was a Headmaster like his Targetmaster brethren.
Look at my pictures I posted tonight, I have the gap filler on mine and love it. Don' care not want the let's extensions as I like his size as is.
Personally the rebirth version is was I like about him
I used POTP Rodimus and RID Windblade as practice models, really messed them up IMHO with thick paint and shake hands. After a while it got better.
When I see that Rumble/Frenzy, I see a figure with modding potential to become a custom God/Power master.
Went through the old Furman '-ations' era IDW stuff over the weekend. Occasionally a bit of a funny read, when you consider everything that comes after, but still some really great TF comics. Excellent, ground up, reimagining of the franchise.

Ultra Magnus vs Movie Blackout... who would win?
Did movie Blackout have the EMP power that Animated Blackout had (It was sooo long ago)?
If so, then you have your answer....
Another option is the painters paint markers places like Walmart has. Use fine or ultra fine tips. Taking your time is a good idea. If I do end up getting paint where I don't want it, I use a pocket knife to carefully scrape it off.
It's been a while since I watched it, but didn't he use it on the military base?
Gosh, dredging up memories... Um, maybe...????
Movie blackout did have the emp power as shown on the military base. It's actually why I thought he was named blackout.
I'd vote magnus tbh.
