I actually did hear that, I think it was from the Baltmatrix review. But if so, it still works beautifully for the figure. Plus, nylon is supposed to be stronger yet flexible compared to plastic, which really helps with how complex this figure is.

 

I was frustrated by that, too. But then I found some fine print in the instructions that states it's actually designed that way to prevent breakage. In that sense, I can live with it.

I've been allotted a front room/dining room, my "Cave of Wonders." It's a catch-all Tiki Room/Monster Room/Toy Room. It's not out of control, but to the casual eye it's probably hard to tell what's coming and going. However I'm extremely fortunate that my girlfriend is an enabler, and she knows that cool and weird stuff makes me happy. I'm a lucky dude.

 

Word of caution: they always find out. It's just a matter of time.

My girlfriend doesn't keep track of my purchases closely enough to notice everytime there's a new figure on the shelf but if she happens to ask about any new ones, I always tell the truth.

 

Is CW Skylynx legends scale?

 

No, CW Sky Lynx is Voyager Class.

What do you mean by scale. "Legends" is a size class which is the size of bots like TR bumblebee.

scale means around what size class the size is based.
a figure is legends scale if it is in scale with "average size" characters in legends class size.

a good example is iron factory cygnus/jetfire.
he's deluxe sized, but would scale reasonably well with a legends class hot rod.
so he's legends scale.

hasbro's main line toys are typically deluxe scale.

 

In a nutshell CW Sky Lynx, based on scale logic, would be too small for Legends. He’d have to at least be a Leader Class, possibly the new Commander Class for Legends scale. And a Titan Class for Deluxe scale. This kind of math is why I try to avoid these scale debates. To me, scale is relative not definite. If it were definite, none of us would have any room in our homes much less our display cases.

 

The OP said they used SOME Legends scale figures, they never said Sky Lynx was.

I know what scale is. I was just trying to understand the question as takara has a line called legends. Was just trying to clarify as the first person to respond to him mentioned class as well. The question wasn't clear.

 

Its just our "shoe" purchase.

 

So funny story, in an impossible effort to make a shelf that scaled with Trypticon and Metroplex I was looking at smaller and smaller figures.


First I was going to use Legend scale and I went “nah too big, I am going for IDW size here; the titans are thousands of feet tall!”. Then I looked at the old legions class but still too big. I asked my buddy what he thought, not a die hard Transformers guy, but definitely a fan of the comics and he said “how about the human sized guys (Titanmasters)?” I replied “maybe for combiners, but technically they are still too small”. My buddy then said “why don’t we go pick up some ice cream?” I looked puzzled “why?” His laugh betrayed his intentions and said “will get you some rainbow sprinkles that you can pour on Metroplex and Trypticon and then say they are Autobots and Decepticons fighting”  .

I got the point and left both titans (Metroplex was replaced by Omega since then) sit on the shelf on their own .

 

And so began a new Titan Appreciation Thread, where it was mostly ice cream sprinkles flaked on to City-Formers...
It was glorious!!!!
I both love the literalness of this idea, and the simultaneous metaphor of how scale with these toys doesn't reeeeally matter.
