I sure do like Siege Apeface.
I can only allow myself to buy 2 per deluxe wave.
For wave 4 which is the best 2?
I still do not have any of the datsun bro's mold.
And I only allow myslef to buy unique molds.
Just got the Toyhax Ratchet kit this morning. I tried applying the wheel stickers on- only for one to flick away into the shadow realm, never to be seen again and I just gave up on them. The rest of the stickers I just didn't feel like using.
And tab into the gorilla feet.
Apeface has turned out to be a great figure, but god his instructions are trash, and they're gonna make a lot of people think he's terribly made.
I started to un-sticker some of the toyhax stickers on our toys. Sometimes, less is more. I would prefer smaller (and cheaper) sets with just accents to enhance a figure....rather than putting sticky paper all over a new toy.
35th Ops vs. tv screen
Is that a screen from Devastation?
That last one really got me.
I thought I was the only butter fingers with regards to decals.
Try to escape from this ape...
The gorilla mode is what sold me with its proportions... And this posing trick just completely elevated what I though was a fantastic experience.
"Who needs Sixgun when you've got THESE guns?"
What does Apeface look like next to TR Megatron?
we ride into battle
Still a gorilla.
Ok this is tough because those three are all great figures but they all suffer from something:
Barricade: Not enough paint and his accesories are weird (even the combined gun mode is odd looking).
Mirage: Translucent plastic that could lead to stress marks and breakage and use of fake kibble to create a lackluster alt-mode.
Impactor: Hollow in the legs, gap in tank and the paint on his head is prone to scraping off from rotating his head.
But if you ignore these things: Barricade has a beautiful alt mode, amazing headsculpt and his accesories can be more fun if you are creative with them; Mirage's articulation is incredible, his leg transformation although fidelly, is very satisfying and interesting once completed and I think he is one of the few siege figures that comes with the right accesories to say, thats mirage; And Impactor feels very chunky, his headsculpt is very Impactory, the ports in his hands allow you to plug anything that is 5mm compatible.
But I had to recommend two, they would be: Impactor and Barricade (although him and Mirage are tied in my opinion)
Hope that helped
He looks like I spent $25 on Amazon.
Which would you suggest to buy if one still does not have any of the siege prime and megatron.
The original or the 35th cell shaded.
Wow! I knew he'd be smaller but that's a lot. I guess that's fine but still...love that he's 25 so far.
Thanks for the pic.
For that, I would say Mirage and Impactor. Mirage has an incredible Bot mode that only has a flaw in The lower legs from how the wheels collapse, and the way the back folds up is great. He also has an interesting Transformation. Impactors size and transformation is great. Both Figures are posable and Interesting. I will say that if you are looking to pick up one of the Datsun Bros, I recommend Bluestreak, He is my favorite of the 4.
Overheard Astrotrain has been spotted in Ontario Canada. However, it's not official yet.
