Geeze, is Toyhax only capable of putting out super tacky, overly busy designs? I remember when their sets used to compliment and add in missing details to characters instead of rushing out sets that only detract from the character. Plus, the material is not as nice as it used to be. Everything is crappy foil and look what happened to that wheel sticker.

No attachment to the character, but I am really liking the figure.

Been playing with the ol' Siege figures and thinking about how they've given us some satisfying duos. Well, maybe only satisfying to me, but still...theme for the week!

Apeface is gonna be super tempting since the G1 version was part of my OG childhood collection. Looks good from the pictures I've seen.

Protip: Do not put the cassettes inside Soundblaster's chest. They get stuck, it becomes a thing, just don't do it. Makes me sad, I kind of like him better than Soundwave and wanted him because of the dual cassette thing...

Didn't work. Had to use a spudger from my PC kit to pry 'em out.

I finally got a hold of the Dr. Wu Dark Star Saber. Looks pretty good with Siege Megs. He'll be sharing it with TFP Megatron when I get a figure for him.

Lancer is my least favorite of the G1 Fembot figures, but those pictures are excellent. The colors are certainly eye-catching if nothing else.

This is the second or third time I've seen someone say this. I am going avoid doing that to be safe. I was mostly going to pose him with the cassette bots already outside or in the process of being ejected anyway.

If you put Ratbat in upside down and have his 5mm peg where you can grab a hold of it, you can wiggle him loose with a lot of force. (A lot.) But if another cassette is behind the first cassette (whoever it may be), the door forces both cassettes to raise up against the roof of the cassette chamber and they catch and you can't get the door open without forcing it. Now, if you leave only one cassette in Soundblaster's door, it'll open just fine, but you'll still need to pry the cassettebot out.

Are that many people missing out on the Headmaster anime? I keep seeing lots of people talking about no attachment to Apeface and I mean he wasn't the biggest character in the show but he sure made an impact on me.

Obviously individual copies vary, but I have no issues with Ravage and Laserbeak closing and ejecting. In fact, Laserbeak usually slides out on his own once I hit the button. Ravage (or whomever is in the first cassette slot) is very solidly stuck in there, and I have to either flip up the peg or a leg to finagle him out, but they both fit in and the door pops open every time.

I saw Headmasters, but not until a few years ago (probably more like 10) and honestly that series has problems IMHO. As I've said many times before, Headmasters on paper should be one of the best TF series, but the execution is so lacking that it ends up being a chore to watch. To put it bluntly, outside of the "Tower of Power" formation and sitting with Galvatron for negotiations, I don't even remember anything else Apeface even did in the series and even then I had to check on TFWiki to make sure that was actually Apeface I was thinking of.

If it's any consolation to you there's not much weight difference in the 2 molds other than about .03oz.

I wish Peaugh's review of Apeface had been out yesterday, when my copy arrived in the mail. I've been relying on youtube reviews to help me transform new figures for the first time, given that hasbro's instructions are utterly useless at this point. But I was forced to consult another, vastly inferior reviewer, and they soured me on the toy right out of the gate because they couldn't lock down the damn Gorilla head correctly.

Yeah, I'm having that issue with Ravage but I have no intentions of ever using that figure beyond just being a cassette anyway. So he can stay wedged in my Soundblaster's chest forever while MP Ravage remains displayed on my shelf with Siege Soundwave...
