there is an easy way to fix both ironhide and starscreams messy peg hole situation. all you need to do is take a small screwdriver (or anything round) about the same size as the hole (not the peg) or even slightly larger, and work the hole so its just a tad bigger. you basically make the hole a little bigger and the pegs fit better in the hole and they wont pop out. I've done it with both ironhide and starscream. I actually found this fix for ironhide on reddit and tried it with starscream and it works for both. Again you are just making the hole slightly larger so the peg goes into the hole without bending the plastic. Go slow and check each time you do a pass until it looks straight (its bowed by default) and feels good and doesnt pop off.

    no cuttting required.

Do you mean Starscream's chest or is there a problem elsewhere? Would this also fix Hound's wheel panels?
I must have gotten lucky with my Ironhide because I take a close look at him every time I see one of these posts and I'm still not sure if the panels people are referring to are the ones on the outside of the legs or the ones that comprise the front/insides.

Ok, finally got in 115 Utopia's Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime kit. Some gripes but overall pleased. I used smaller picture sizes than usual.

This is the kit. Arrived in a small box: 2 gap fillers, 2 side blasters, and 1 foot cover. Overall, the 3d print quality is up there with Matrix Workshop (despite their peg issues) and Shockwave Lab and better than anything I've ever gotten off Shapeways. The PLA is painted over. The blasters are actually 2 pieces put together (the nozzles are loose compared to the base).

    After:
    kit3.jpg

The alt mode foot cover is stored on the back.
    kit4.jpg

The side blasters unfortunately don't have normal handles. They have to be attached to the side of something. Each side blaster has a port and a peg.
    kit5.jpg
    kit6.jpg

The side blasters in solo cab mode doesn't quite work the way they pictured it (hits blue tabs on the legs). I think this way works a lot better:
    kit7.jpg

    Alt mode
    kit8.jpg

    The foot cover:
    kit9.jpg

    What's good:
    Higher end 3d print quality
Painted colors on blasters and gap fillers match
Blasters and gap fillers look great

    Gripes:
The pegs on the blasters are painted over with silver paint (masking tape anyone?). I'm going to sand the paint off and I've already had to remove silver paint specks from ports. The pegs on the blasters are a little oversized at 5.1mm. Removing the paint should help a little with that too.

One of the blaster ports is a little loose.

No regular handles on the blasters.

The alt mode foot cover is not good. It's just kinda there and the paint job doesn't match (it's way off). I may go over it with transparent blue paint later to get it to match. It's one big cover and not two separate pieces. Cannot be used in robot mode (and just stored on back).

The blaster is two separate pieces put together (one painted silver and the other red) but the nozzle end isn't attached securely. Noticeable when trying to remove blast effects.

Overall: Pleased, and I would buy another kit from them again. Don't care for the foot cover, though, or the painted over pegs. They have other kits out right now but currently not interested (Dai Atlas leg filler kit, Impactor gap fillers). As with other 3d printed painted kits, I'm going to spray all the pieces with clear varnish coats to prevent scuffing paint damage.

I think Hasbro should have taken more advantage of Ratchet's engineering when deciding his official medical bay mode. They could have made it look a lot more like his original sled/one of the sickbay he's from Star Trek.

And one of the best things about Ratchet is that his "battle damage/mud" paint comes off really easily. There must be something about the white plastic that doesn't adhere well but a few swipes with a Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol and the paint comes right off!

Soundwave: Soundwave will never turn to the Dark Side!

Soundblaster: Give in, it is your destiny!

Soundwave: Soundwave will not reformat into a MP3 player, cassettes superior.

I'm in a quandary. BBTS has the DX9 Gabriel on sale for $179.99.

I haven't bought my Siege Omega Supreme yet, so is my money better spent on the Hasbro release or should I pony up another $20 for the 3P with the more G1 alt mode? Do any of you have both could give me any advice?

Ratchet! Love this thing! They changed him just enough to make him stand apart from Ironhide! Fantastic!
