My daughter, who at nearly twelve is at a bit of a crossroads with play due to how fast she's suddenly growing up, took one look at this and made a beeline for the Micromasters under the tv. And here we are

I got the three pack in and I enjoy it. I mainly grabbed it because:
1. I like both versions of Impactor, but I just like the way the IDW head looks more than the individual release. Reprolabels took care of the symbol.
2. I love deep cut obscure stuff, and that of course means I love the powerdashers, and so of course I was going to go for all three.

I didn't really want the clear blue Mirage, but I wasn't liking how Mirage was looking in renders, so I went with this initially to see if the individual Mirage might be worth picking up, and I do indeed think he is.

 

Since the upcoming Ratbat will be part of Soundwave's crew and that FRumble will remain a cassette somewhere, I felt that Soundblaster was a little lonely. So over the weekend I ordered PE-01 to hold him down until BBTS finally discounts that MP cassette set that has Wingthing and Enemy.

While Stripes and Nightstalker would go great with an upcoming Earth Rise Blaster (fingers crossed of course)

I got in the matrix workshop weapon sets I ordered from TF Safari. They needed a little bit of filing on the handles but it only took a few moments for each weapon.

It’s time to bust some Decepti-chops. (My son removed the legs from the sniper rifle)



I also did some surgery on Ironhide. The leg panels on mine would fall off if you looked at them, so I used a mini hand drill and some picture hanging nails to make pins. I pushed the nails through and snipped off the extra.

All the Matrix Workshop kits I own have oversized pegs. It's rather annoying and can potentially cause damage (to your figure especially if the port has thin walls or snap the peg off). My Ironhide kit also had a severely warped rifle. The ports on those arm cannons / jet pack thingies are also not quite 5mm either, so don't try to jam a normal peg through them (or you'll break the relatively fragile 3d plastic). If you want to use them, then you'll need to use a 5mm drill bit by hand.

That being said, I have 2 more kits hanging out somewhere in US customs. I'll see if they all still have the same problem.

 

I'm gonna swap some parts! Believe it!

 

Nice to finally have an official Galactic Man, hopefully I’ll stumble over an original Shackwave someday. An MP version would be nice too.

the clear one is so cool I didn't realize the fake car hood in bot mode is fully visible at the back end of the car until I got the regular version today

So I was looking at the Pulse reviews for Lancer when I noticed something interesting int he reviews.

Someone named "Omar H." posted pictures of his Orthia, but it looks like he customized Elita-1 by putting her arms and combiner head and presumably robot head on a solo release scattershot body? Does anyone know if Omar has a custom page for her? I am really curious what Elita looks like as a standalone robot. lol
