it's crazy I got Barricade, Bluestreak and Smokescreen in the same day...now I'm swimming in Faux Fairladys...

    also got Thundercracker and Impactor...

not sure I'm a fan of having the instructions using Cybertronian to identify the weaponry...sure there wasn't anything deep about 54X HyperBallistic Photon Slug but I'd like to be able to just read it and not have to decode the darn thing

I'm just waiting for him to show up in Cyberverse or a future cartoon with an updated catchphrase to "I just can't even right now" like an angsty teen. :lol :puke:

I just got Mirage, I have to say that from the photos and reviews I was not particularly as excited as I have been for most of the Siege line. However, once I opened him up and got to transform him and play around with him. I have to say that I am again pleasantly surprised with all of the Siege bots. They are all solid and fun to transform and they all just bring me right back to my childhood, watching the G1 cartoon and playing on the floor with my Transformers. I can't get enough of the Siege line! Mirage_robot.jpg Mirage_alt.jpg

You can clearly see, that Astrotrain comes from another line, better design and proportions.

    "It's dire out there, Magnus.

While Prime is scrambling around Earth with his merry band of idiots, things are falling apart. There aren't a lot of us left, and what is left happens to be low on Energon, moral and discipline.

I've been doing Prowl's dirty work, "reminding" the Rank & File of their rank and what files we have on them, but the longer Prime isn't around, the more it looks like we've been abandoned. All of it is only giving ammunition to the sprocket-suckers in the trenches, looking for an excuse to make a name for themselves. Primus knows it's the only ammunition some of the troops have out there, at any rate.

If we're going to lose this war, and I have every expectation we'll manage that spectacularly, then I'd prefer it if we didn't do the 'Cons any favours along the way. So, get out there and lead, before a mutiny comes knocking...and at least pretend the entire Autobot army isn't falling to pieces before our eyes, while you're at it, ay."

I personally didn’t vote for this bot, but I can see how he and Mirage won.

Impactor is a Transformer I’ve never had any experience with. After the fan vote I started to learn more about him. Leader of the Wreckers, aggressive yet heroic nature, Savior of Cybertron. Still more to learn, but the more I heard about him and saw of him, the more I wanted a figure of him. And now having him in hand, Impactor is a Transformer I didn’t realize I was missing.

Such a simple color scheme, yet so vibrant and powerful, it feels like a good match for him.

The hollowness in the legs is not really an issue for me. Once you feel how hefty this guy is, you kinda understand why they did it. He definitely doesn’t feel like he’s hollow. Besides his unique transformation is so fun and clever, it more than makes up for it...........

..............And gives us a really bitchin’ tank!
I’ve seen many pics and reviews where the harpoon weapon is used as another gun on top of the shoulder cannon, but.........

......I kinda like to use it as an antenna. Makes the tank feel more dynamic I think.

Love that the turret can rotate and the main gun barrel can pivot up and down. This tank is an excellent example of versatility and articulation when done right. The claws up front are pretty intimidating too.

The battle damage paint never bothered me about the whole Siege line, but this is one of the best uses of it I think. Also, the sculpted gun turrets on the sides are a very nice touch. Impactor is just loaded for bear and it’s awesome.

Impactor is an excellent Deluxe figure. Powerful engineering and style with versatile accessories. I even love his headsculpt for the Autobot version (which I prefer over the Decepticon version, character-wise). Definitely worth the hunt this week, highly recommended!

Looks good. Not tempted to paint those forearms black?

Anybody know if Smashdown is getting repacked? Never saw him around here, and now he is going for over 20 dollars.
