I feel like needlenose could get an easy retool, so I'd prefer to get a brand new mold specifically for the battlechargers.

    that is a great upgrade

the battle chargers could just as easily get a retool from a potential sunstreaker or wheeljack though

that's basically the rodimus we got in POTP. I'd like to see a new dekuxe Hot Rod and a completely new design on Rodimus that homages that old Rodimus design in both modes without the addon parts. At the least, I'd like them to integrate better than POTP did.

God I hope your wrong as they already did that with PoP line didn’t they? I just want a hot rod then a rodiums he’ll give us 2 figs I don’t want a UM take on him!

It seems a bit soon to do Hot Rod/Rodimus again. At the least I would hope it wasn’t another take on his cartoon design again. I think an IDW-inspired figure would fit in well with the Cybertronian aesthetic.

IDW was a bit too much sweeping lines and pointy spots for the Siege line. Most of these are blocky and sharp edges, so I don't see them doing the IDW version, which would be awesome. And as for too soon for a version of character, look at Ultra Magnus, Chromia, heck, even Hot Rod/Rodimus from TR to POTP. They have no problem turning out new versions quickly, and since this wouldn't be until the 2nd line in this trilogy, I can see it happen. Either way, my wallet is still trying to recover from this line...

Didn't he look like an Xacto blade bin in the new comics though? And purple?
The TR version is my go-to for Hot Rod. It helps that I de-Headmastered mine, but still, it scales nicy and looks the part. Plus, now he has his Targetmaster.

    Anyway...

CW ultra magnus is a different character.
the last chromia was from before the prime wars trilogy.
and the 3 prime wars hot rods each had something unique to offer.

wfc leader class hot rod would just be a potp do-over.

saying cw ultra magnus is a different character is kind of a falsehood, they merely gave an actual identity to the core dude inside, he was still pretty much the only ultra magnus for 90% of the cybertronian war and a siege rodimus (while i think one isnt necessarily needed) wouldnt exactly be a potp do over since siege leaders trailers act more like weaponizer parts whereas ptop leader trailers make up like 80% of the combined mode body

I would love to see a true G1 look for both hot rod & Rodimus I agree on the size! I have the Takara TR hot rod and he is ok but I hate the space in the chest his shoulders sit to high & cant see his spoiler that well in bot mode!

So if they fixed those 3 things I would be happy! They nailed springer he is a little bigger then he should be but rocks as we finally got a G1/toon one! So I can only imagine how cool hot rod/Rodiums would look in their G1/toon looks!

Anyone find Zetar's tolerences far better than Brunt's? My mass release Weaponizers all have very loose tolerences. Is that normal?

I agree they do look great together. Regarding your Diaclone work collection, it’s very impressive, I am dipping my toe in the water, but don’t want to go too nuts with these awesome looking little guys. I feel like they can add up in price quick.

It's very easy to do, but yeah, it's a pricey hobby that Reboot line. Worth it, though. The official stuff has a fit and finish that can't be beat.
The Diaclone figures work good with the Headmasters and fit in the cockpits, but for scaling they're just a bit too small for Siege.
Mega Construx is a good scale, and a LOT cheaper (when you can find them).

    To stay on topic-
    Showdown...
