Hmmmm yeah I usually do something like that for "loose" joints. But when joints pop off or fall off, its usually for a different reason.

In the past, theres been times where some extra plastic is in the way and when you turn the leg or arm, that plastic pushes against it and pops it off. I was wondering if this was one of those cases.

I just gave a coat of nail polish, will see if that works.

Side note: and I wish I had John Wardens ear right now....HOW do they expect children to play with these micromasters when they literally crumble in your hand? They really need to figure out a better formula for these things ...wheels that fall off, arms and legs etc etc..

Nice photos! I wish they hadn't sold them as a set. I would have bought Hologram Mirage. Aragon might be nice for the weaponizer gimmick. I can see the parts looking good on OP and Ironhide. I don't need another two Impactor figures though, and I prefer the head on the Autobot version, so I can't see myself shelling out $70 for the set.

I wish I lived closer, I'm the complete opposite.
I don't care too much for clear plastic bots and a cog repaint, but I really want impactor with a Spartan helmet.
but shipping costs would make a trade/split purchase not worth the price.

Siege Blast Effects on older lines

Most blasters would need some sort of adapter or a destructive mod. Compatible ones would need either 5mm ports or 3mm pegs. Looked through some of the various accessories and found some. Didn't count those where you would have to wedge something in with a lot of force.

Included some that would need a simple 3mm rod (some hobby stores carry these) for accessories with 3mm ports:

No adapters: One of re-issue G1 OP's blasters, Optimal Optimus blasters, Bludgeon's uh stick, Onslaught's blasters

Simple 3mm rod adapter: Dai Atlas blaster, any Crashbash (re)mold

Wowza, that head on the 3-pack Impactor really knocks him up a notch. Don’t want to buy the other two figures to get him though

 

So one thing I don’t remember if I’ve seen is I’ve had issues with Cog and the little squiggly purple beams. His red cannons must have tons of extra paint because the beams are hard to get off and tend to remove little bits of paint. So be careful with blast effects on your glossier (heavier handed paint jobs) figures because these bendy plastic effects are super tacky against the excess paint. It’s like the repaint heroclix galactus all over again...

 

I love the translucent blue Mirage. Who is the yellow and purple dude? I like him too.

Thanks for the help! I'm leaning toward doing the custom work. Nothing against ashen Skywarp. He looks great next to the other seekers but within the full ranks of the Decepticons I think both he and the Motormaster I recently picked up are going blacker.
