Hehe, I imagine that has more to do with the allocation of it in the shop, IE boys aisle or girls aisle. Though it's actually kind of cool to see Transformers being allocated as neither, rather than being hard coded as a 'boys toy'

Added to your post the locations of the stores mentioned. People tend to think Ollie's is nationwide and it isn't. I'm not sure why they haven't expanded west, but they haven't. Nor has Meijer, but they haven't expanded East, much, either.

After seeing how the market is, I'm not sure how Walmart and Target justify going coast to coast, it's a big country, lot of land to cover.

 

We just got Ollie's here a couple of years ago. I checked the toy aisle recently and the have no toys of any brand I have ever heard of, just cheap generic crap. Same with Big Lots and they used to have great toys when I was a kid/teen.

That's changing this week. The last ad I saw said they're bringing out more of the TRU liquidation. From last week all through Christmas, truckloads are coming to all the stores, week after week. I don't know what's left after last year's part of the liquidation, but it's coming.

 

I can tell you. Its all those power rangers ninja steel lion fortress monstrosities that never sold.

 

Uh, you laugh, but I actually wouldn't be the least bit surprised if that's what's on the truck. When TRU was open, some stores had FIFTY of them out in the open. Others had a few on the floor, but close to thirty in the back. Some were liquidated, of course, but plenty of stores closed with them still behind those closed doors.

Heck, at one point, sellers on Amazon and eBay were letting them go for like $50.00, shipped. The problem is it's a really overpriced piece of junk, one of the many things that weighed TRU down and sunk 'em to the bottom of the sea. Doesn't help that the hedge fund was standing on their shoulders stomping downward to finish the job.

I'm not the least bit surprised if we see at least one per Ollie's location. =\

No PS, just LEDs (custom head LED mod, Shockwave Lab LED matrix in the cockpit).

Edit: Shockwave Lab LED add-ons for me have a major flaw: battery chamber is too big for the battery, so the battery doesn't hit the contacts properly. Use an electrically neutral spacer to force the battery to hit the contacts (i.e. electrical tape). The LEDs are bare and blinding, so put a small white electrical tape circle over it.

 

FInally finished maxing out the G1 factor on these two using various add ons!
