They really do. I picked up cybertron smokescreen way back in like December as more of a nostalgia trip and when looking up lionizer, I realized rad was homaged by CB Smokey. Made me buy a second lionizer just for the pairing. I actually inspired a few people on here to do the pairing back in December.

 

Not trying to rain on your parade but something seems really off about that.

That blue.....,so shiny, shimmery, splendid!!!

This guy..... this guy right here!!! This is the Skyfire I’ve waited 35 years for!!!

His G1 design and look is impeccable. I flashback immediately to the G1 cartoon when I see him. Skyfire feels solid too. All of the hollowness fills in nicely in bot mode. The molding is beautiful and for a bot this size, he’s very decently articulated.

The quick-switch chestplate for the changing faction symbols is a neat trick, but Skyfire to me will always be an Autobot. Besides the Decepticon purple clashes with the color scheme. The blast effects he comes with are probably the coolest of the line so far and all of his weapons are awesome.



For me, this mode is just a perk. It’s an excellent, updated callback to his old “Macross” style. I’m diggin it more than I thought I would. Really like how all of the weapons can merge to form a battle drone. Bonus!

I am all in on the new Commander Class size and Skyfire was the perfect Transformer to have the honor of being the first in this Class. I own the T30 Jetfire, which is an excellent figure unto itself, but that is Jetfire. This guy is Skyfire, this is the robot that rains fire in the sky and he will not be replaced. My head canon has enough room for both of them. Overall, Skyfire is as majestic and magnificent as the sky he soars through.

 

I'm really getting a kick out of the fact that these guys even exist in the first place  . I gave them separate ways of handling their weapons.

I don't know who is worse with promised delivery dates on Hasbro pre-orders in 2019, Amazon or Walmart. They both can't handle pre-orders.

 

So while it seems bbts.com is a little behind other places as far as Thundercracker's concerned, Amazon's definitely on the ball with Skywarp! Just got mine in the mail today!

Just finished my scratch-build trailer for my Siege Optimus Prime.




It's as basic as a trailer can be, capable of fitting 1-2 Siege deluxe carbots inside and four 5mm ports on the top of the trailer to store some weapons.
