Personally I don't equate complexity and quality, but that's just me

Wrong thread was a mistake, not sure how that happened honestly, however my point still stands and I would appreciate a less antagonistic tone in your replies. I "took it upon myself" to reply because this is a discussion forum, but if it'll make you happy I'll post my comment here in this thread

Well, it wasn't 2014, but back then we did get the pos that was Universe Cheetor

So is Tricranius pulse exclusive? Hope not, or at least that EB games will carry him through cause I love how he looks. Even though I’d like more weapons as opposed to blast effects, I don’t actually own any siege blast parts so that’s a great bonus.

Also any guess/demonstration of Rhinox’s rhino head articulation? Looks pretty stiff atm.

Right, well, hopefully I’ll find him through a closer retailer.

For certain designs, complexity is a necessity. The AOE and TLK toylines proved that Transformers at that time wasn't able to convey more complex character designs in toy form.

I can't wait for Beast Wars to return! In cartoon form, that is. The toys are cool too.

Our hopes of TITs are coming true slowly from what we know of listings and leaks. Now, we just need to remind Hasbo that while there may not be an I in Team, there is one in Beast Wars.

My first thoughts on seeing Wingfinger were "this looks awkward and weird and wrong, and that means it's likely the most accurate proportions on a fossil pterosaur I've seen in a toy". The wings are too short, but the head is just as gigantic as it should be for a pterodactyloid.

Yes but that's a complaint on his QC where this one is the design that's failed. The t30 mold was great besides the backwards feet in robot mode.

This new one misses in some key ways. There needs to be a way to fold away the lower rhino jaw to make the illusion that it's on his chest and to have the rhino teeth being spiky behind his head. Lower legs way too blocky/big. Has the old toy accurate crotch plate that doesn't belong. Generations already had it. Head sculpt is way off. If they could do airazor, dinobot, primal, Megatron, Cheetor, Blackarachnia, Rattrap near mp accuracy heads then wtf happened here?

Also the green shoulders in rhino mode and that design making the upper arms look so hollow. It's as if they had a different designer do this one, maybe the same guy as Cheetor.

The ear muff things combined with the huge blocky chin make it almost seem like they wanted to make it look like he's wearing some kind of helmet. Definitely a drastic reinterpretation compared to every other Kingdom figure. Only reason I can think of for such a departure is if they wanted to distance Kingdom Rhinox from T30 Rhinox...but then again, T30 Rattrap's existence didn't cause them to give Kingdom Rattrap weird ear muffs and a chin guard, so Idaknow man.

I must admit, I'm glad I managed to get hold of a T30 Rhinox a few months ago.

Very lucky to have the opportunity to pick up the new one and decide which one to keep.
(Or potentially keep the weapons from)

A shame I haven't been able to find an old Waspinator, as I feel he's only going to be harder to find once revealed :(

I wonder, how does the new Waspinator look in terms of colors? Like, does his beast mode color pattern deviate from the toon as much as Blackarachnia's does? I'm guessing he still has his signature stripey butt, except probably with detail to make it look fuzzy or something.

If anyone wants the best Rhinox...the LG-EX version...Robotkingdom currently has him for $99. Probably just gonna get more expensive from here on out, it was only $50 when I got him from there last year. I think the T30 beast figures are gonna see a surge of demand now that people can get updated versions of the rest of the season 1 cast to go with them (and now that people can see that the Kingdom equivalents aren't beating them out).

Only seen grey plastic proto images unfortunately.
From what I've seen he's definitely more like Kingdom Rhinox in that I can't tell much of an improvement over the previous generations version, plus it's missing the gimmicks...

I will wait for Rhinox reviews before get it (or not). I remember how excited I was when ordered Takara LG-EX Rhinox, still love the color scheme but I was extremely disappointed with the plastic quality.

A nice design infected with the cheap hollow plastic syndrome. He looks nice on pics, like most CHPS Transformers but in hand is a different story. Don't want to repeat the whole CHPS experience again, so prefer to wait to confirm the plastic quality.

I swear if they mess up Waspinator I'm going to be pissed. All I want is a fully painted head. None of that half green, half translucent plastic crap like the T30 version.

And if they're going for more "realistic" beast modes. I guess 4 individual wings would be cool.

Also I'm fine with no gimmicks. I found the wing flap feature of the T30 version annoying and made posing the wings tricky.

The more I look at Rhinox the more I HATE the headsculpt. It doesn't look like Rhinox to me and only has some of the distinctive features, and only some. Sure he has the chin strap, eyebrows, and head crest, but the shape is wrong, no forehead insignias, and his mouth doesn't go all the way past his cheeks like the show model. The face itself feels too "young" and overall is too short and wide.

I'm hoping that a third party will make a better head for him. That would make him my first figure I've customized at all.

My only other issues are the chest feeling too wide and not quite the right shape, bit I can live with that, and the guns being a bit puny, again I can live with it. But that head is... Ugh.

Well, some of the FoC toys i've had were poorly engineered but with good plastic quality. Only Grimlock sucked on every aspect.
But Prime Wars... Yeah, well, the plastic quality was kinda better than FoC (yet not so much), but the engineering and the design... heeehhh...

I know. The idea of a robot turning into a realistic animal really pushes the "RID/MTMTE" concept at his maximum level. I mean, technically a vehicle can already be considered a robot, so not a big deal... But an animal? And organic one? It's the most different thing you can find from a robot. Except maybe for a plant. Or a rock. But we already got rock robots in the past.
    flashbakrocklord2.jpg
So we just need robot trees.

You can easily fix loose hips with a drop of superglue, but you can't fix a shitty design...

    I remember them looking different...
    Screen-Shot-2016-10-03-at-9.38.31-PM.png

I have the Takara Rhinox and yeah, maybe he has some hollow parts, but not so many. The plastic quality seems fine too. I have mine since when he came out (so, several years), i transformed it billions of times and he still has no stressmarks nor issues. But after Reading this post, i
don't know if i've just been lucky to get a flawless copy or if you're wrong...
