It's not about the resemblence - it's about the engineering. That the Kingdom Beast figures are downscaled versions of the MP Best Wars figures with different details/sculpting.
Finally confirmation to my presumption. If they now manage to distribute the Netflix line better in other countries than the US, the cancellation of my Kingdom Optimus Primal preorders is coming closer and closer.
Not so fast! We don't know what that deco might end up looking like. Primal is already pretty well coloured, so it might be more like Wheeljack whose ER colours are much more pleasing
Sorry, but I have to say that I prefer Netflix Wheeljack's deco way over ER's.
What I don't like on Primal are the blue parts (shoulder cannons, forearm turrets, feet). If the Netflix version gets rid of these we have a deal.
Of course I could just paint those parts but even coated/sealed you still got issues with paint rub. Especially at the balljoints in his feet.
Again, Cheetor shares little to no engineering between the MP and Kingdom figures
They aren't. Primal might be engineered similar given he's a bit too basic to change much. Cheetor is wildly different, with the legs and torso sharing nothing with the MP. Megatron has notable differences, such as the splitting pelvis and more involved tail, that distance him from his MP. We know Dinobot's got a new torso if nothing else. They aren't engineered the same
Not exactly the same of course and there are exceptions like Cheetor if it hasn't have to be a complicated transformation. But in general their transformations are pretty similar.
It's a subtitle that's been used for all the netflix voyagers. Probably due to them also coming with battle masters.
Besides the hip joint spheres, I don't see your point. Do you want toy colours? That would be a selects thing wouldn't it?
It would be awesome if he's missing chunks of fur and smells like burnt hair, lol.
I don't care if toy or cartoon colors. On both the only blue part was his head. And on any other parts of him it just doesn't look good to me.
That's too nitpicky for me to get behind sorry. The blue is dark and metallic. Almost like the cartoon. You have to compare several shots to even know those parts are gunmetal in the cartoon (or use the MP for reference), cos he often flew through the sky reflecting blue off his toes.
I actually appreciate that kindgom gave the blue more spots to shine. It's a very minute change that actually compliments the design
Those things being blue aren't show accurate, probably what he wants.
It's not about accuracy, it's just about what I like.
So I might prefer toy accuracy here. But to me gunmetal would have still looked better than metallic blue.
The more white makes him kind of look like a futuristic mecha.
I don't know why people think looking like the show = MP
They are only as similar as any Optimus Prime figure is to any other one, the Kingdom figures are definitely not based on MP designs
I like Primal's blue parts all except the feet. I think the grey would fit with the back of his legs better. I'll definitely get him if the torso gap isn't too bad.
i came from the future to say that airazor robot mode look very good and the wing can compact as best as possible
bird mode belly not the best but serviceable , they did such good job compact the robot leg, wish the tail is larger to cover more. Bird mode head is very articulated.
Color wise will be much lighter then on screen , but the face is dead on airazor.
As long as her bird mode legs aren’t giant I’m happy
Airazor being my first and favorite Beast Wars character (aside from Cybershark who deserves a new figure too), this pleases me.
