If Wheeljack and Arcee weren't in Kingdom we wouldn't have more new molds. Why would you think that the omission of those two would mean new molds? They're repacks because there wasn't any more budget to make some thing new.

 

Dunno how this compares to Siege and Earthrise, but Shadow Panther, Slammer, Pipes and Inferno - that's four additional Deluxes - aren't original molds either. So I'm surprised there wasn't enough budget for more new molds.

I think OP's point though was why Wheeljack specifically, since the ER Wave 1 Deluxes are the least in need of a rerelease. They were by far the most widely available.

 

Funny how you can find some truth in places you wouldn't expect there to be true. It does make me recall another 4chan post that we'll be seeing exclusive box sets that contain the remaining 3 Season 1 Predacons with some Autobots repainted from other molds which were Road Rage,Goldbug and a Green Skids like Autobot with them along with repainted fossilizers. If they ended up being true as well that's gonna make me and other BW fans very happy.

aah, you're right. Although Paleotrex does seem like the most likely of the fossilisers we've seen.

 

So the speculation is that the G1 guys in Core Class scale to interact in some way with the Titan Class Ark, but the G1 Core Class figures are just Optimus on one side vs. Megatron, Starscream, and Soundwave? Are there any other Autobots I'm forgetting about?

Or is even the Core Class/Titan Class interaction debunked by now? So hard to keep up.

 

No, that's pretty much spot on from what we know. The Ark being compatible with core class figures is all but confirmed, and there aren't any other autobot core class figures confirmed. However, the Ark comes with a transforming Teletraan 1, so that would even things out a tad bit more.

Granted, I could be getting information jumbled up, but I believe that's all correct.

Loving the look of those core figures. They’re like a totally different line for me - made for playing with at a desk while working.

 

Good! I can see myself snatching those things up in a heartbeat if Rattrap and Optimus are representative of the engineering behind them.

 

Out of Shadow Panther, Slammer, Pipes and Inferno only SP is a straight repaint and he's a new mold for the year (Inferno is also a voyager). The rest are partials. Wheel jack is also the W1 character I've seen the least of on shelves, with the other 3 being easy to find. Also Wheeljack and Arcee where in the Netflix show.

 

I'm hoping Shadow Panther has a new head tooling to homage the mutant mask head thing.

 

That would be very cool! BA did already have tooling for a toy head, hopefully Cheetor has the tooling for a mutant head

 

Honestly, I'd be okay with them canceling the line because it's nothing but repaints (and some great remolds) but it's handled by one of the worst stores for exclusives and people don't want to deal with Walmart to obtain them. It's been nothing but an uphill battle for 95% of the people waiting. They should become Pulse exclusives and call it a day.

 

I want the w2 voyagers to drop first. Then the line has my permission to die
