Wow, you've forgotten about the entire Prime Wars Trilogy already? I think this is a new record for Geewunner doublethink.

 

Apparently the gimmick is some sort of time travel? The G1 guys, somehow, are going to meet up with the BW crew. That's the speculation at hand for why we have G1 guys and BW guys in the same storyline.

 

I'd just rather an entire new line unrelated to G1 for the BW/BM characters. It feels weird when they shoehorn Beast Era characters into G1-focused lines, like Op Op with POTP (yes, I know, that was from the fan vote).

And this also means we won't get do-overs of all the Beast characters either.

 

I bet the Ark is the Titian class figure.

 

BW's animation isn't that bad. For its time it was cutting edge and while its certainly clunky and outdated in textures, polygon count and shading (or lack thereof) the show remain extremely expressive which, when combined with excellent voice acting and animation/body language edited to fit said voice acting makes this very dated show extremely expressive. Yeah its old and outdated, but you can absolutely read the intended emotions of a scene. Now compare this with Energon's dull surprise.

 

I think that’s a reasonable bet. I’d love an Iaconus but my number one hope given that this is Beast Wars time is obviously Magnaboss!

 

I likely will at some point. I have no doubts that Season 2 is great, a lot of shows tend to pick up after the first season.

 

And honestly, as someone who grew up with G1, personally, I'm ready for something different. There is pleeenty of G1 to go around. I feel bad for the folks who grew up on the Unicron Trilogy who aren't getting any love. Or hell, those of us who would like a complete set of quality WFC/FOC designs. I've always said that the great irony about this hobby is that its collectors are incredibly resistant to change.

(That said, I *am* still annoyed that Cullen isn't voicing OP in the Netflix series. Haha. But that's another thread)

 

Yea, that would be great. 3rd parties are already at this and I myself as a customizer, too. But the Selects line isn't known for creating new forms of established characters or anything new at all.

There isn’t “teeth gnashing” but it’s pretty obvious that there’s disappointment in this thread. Even though G1 is still going to have a presence in WFC Part 3, and is being pushed into Studio Series, G1 fans are getting this idea that “G1 is going to be left behind”. I expected it, though.

 

The titian is a G1 not BW.

The Ark being the Titan would work, as while its a G1 'character' (I use that term loosely) it plays a major role within Beast Wars' story and mythos as what ties the two eras together.

 

Also it's in the middle of the poster.

 

Question is: will a figure come with a Golden Disc that other figures can hold? Given that's in the poster and tied to the mythos.

My thoughts have been spoken on that thread but I still find it funny. We as G1 fans get told we gotta share and now Movie fans get told they gotta share then they get upset about it. Me? I dig movie toys so it doesn't bother me one bit. Still getting G1, still getting Movie toys. All is good in my world.

 

The commander class figure is a G1 character not a BW character.

I'm a fan of the original continuity (which includes all of "G1" and Beast Wars), but man, the Generations line has been a love-note to the original series for years, plus now you have "G1" in Studio Series or whatever that's called. How much will be enough for you?

ROFL!! Right. Good one.

I had the same thought recently: The show's stories, plots, dialogue are just as good and relevant now as they were when released. Shore up the animation, and Boom! You can release the show as fresh and brand new for the new generation and not have to do much design work on accompanying toys. SO want this to happen. Never will.

 

Be cool if there was a Nemesis one also. Don't think Hasbro's ever made toys for the ships.
