Thank you I took all of them in about ten minutes because it was around 37 degrees when I was doing it so I had to take them quick.

 

Dinos with eye mods:

T-Wrecks: Green eye tint via 1 layer of dark green cellophane (light green will not work).
Tyrannocon Rex: Yellow vinyl tape (removed adhesive) to cover up the rolling eyes, black vinyl tape circles for the pupils.

Heads are able to be peeled back just enough to slide a thin layer of material between the eyes and the head cover.

I really like the new Sweep’s blue. I’ll keep him as my Scourge. His blue compliments Cyclonus’s brighter purple.

So I shared this in the Galvatron thread, but I'd figure i'd do it here too. Although most of Galvatron is pinned, the tread halves are held together on the (pinned) arm with a pair of screws. So I easily swapped Kingdom Galvatron and Selects Galvatron II's. I think the final result is better for both. It makes Kingdom Galvatron more show accurate and adds an effective contrast with Galvatron II.



Also while I'll probably get the boots and gap fillers for Galvatron II, for some reason I think the back spire (which is installed backwards on my Kingdom Galvatron... yeah I know, I fixed it) looks better on him in the stubby version than the G1-esqe gigantic one.

Now only if someone would make a cannon that is like, 30% smaller.

Really happy with this one. Tolerances not as good as the first Galvatron (can’t even use the shoulder cannon port effectively, really loose), but the colors definitely pop. G1 rifle fits perfectly. This is going to be the one I fiddle/play with. Can’t wait to have the full trio

 

Well, I survived the pre-Black Friday thunderdome 
Wave 3 cores and voyager are on shelves here, still waiting for the deluxes and Galvatron, if they show up at all.

And yeah, Kingdom Rhinox has kicked my teeth in and made me eat every last word, he's actually pretty damn good. Not sure whether to be mad or happy about that 

 

I know exactly how you feel when it comes to Rhinox.

 

Recently, wave 3 has finally been turning up at Aussie retailers that sell Deluxes for under $40, so I finally picked up a Scorponok last week. Robot mode is OK, but I absolutely love his beast mode. It's even better in-person than in my mediocre-quality pics. The textures and colouring are great. I really love the grey, greyish purple and red combo.



Then, just a couple of days ago, I found wave 4, so I had to pick up Waspinator. Despite some QC issues (namely that his waist doesn't like staying tabbed together), I really like this figure. It's colours look much better in-hand than they tend to on camera and despite the wasp legs being a bit annoying in robot mode, the increased articulation really makes it at least an equal of the T30 figure.




It's taken waaaay longer than it should have, but now I finally have more than one lacky for Megatron. I absolutely love how they look together. Although they never seem to get along in beast mode, for some reason. Must be something about their nature.



Later that day, I picked up a Wingerfinger, since it was on special. I do like it more than I thought I would, especially when wedging the combiner head into it's toros, to help fill it out. It could do with more weathering, but I like the ninja look more than I expected to. It is weird, when the other Fossilizers were knight-themed, but it's still cool.




Got home and then I found a package with some figures I'd ordered, including Tricranius. Pretty amazing timing. Wasn't sure if I'd find his lava-themed colours awesome or garish. Turns out, I find them awesome, though, as with the others, it looks better in-hand than on camera, especially with my meh camera phone pics.



After waiting quite some time for more Kingdom figures to show up, I got the lackluster Ark in the middle of the year and that was it, until now. Getting a set of Maximals with so few Predacons and then having the Ark as my final impression really left a sour taste in my mouth, in regards to Kingdom. I'm so happy to finally wash it away. Although that package wasn't all good news. A Classified Snake Eyes I'd ordered had an accessory missing: Namely, his knife. The place for it in the plastic tray, next to his sword and scabbard, isn't even there.

Now that the year and Kingdom are drawing to a close, I’d like to appreciate the real MVP of Kingdom: the packaging! It was so nice not having to wrestle figures out of a damnable plastic tray, releasing plastic crackling sonic shockwaves in all directions! Once or twice with Kingdom I had to casually rip the cardboard backer open for a particularly large back piece - simple and easy!

Thinking back on getting Earthrise Snapdragon out of the box….
SO walked in, hands firmly over ears. “What are you doing?!?!”
Me, wreathed in visual distortions from shockwaves, clothes shredded, “I’m trying to get my action figure out of the box!!!!”
SO: “I think you’re tearing a hole in the space-time continuum!!!”
Me: “I know!!! But I can’t stop - I don’t have the guns out yet!!!!”
