I'm surprised as well. I think it's because Track's plastic is thicker.

For the love of Primus. Can someone please show me their scorponok from the back? I do not under stand how the beast legs are supposed to fold up. Directions, box, and stock images are all different. :-/

There are other key differences and, the pressure is applied differently.

    SS86 Jazz

The "glass" is very rigid, it has 2 sections, and they are both permanently connected to each other via a hinge system:

There is a clear hinge at the base of the front windshield and that is pinned to opaque white plastic at the "dashboard" and, there is an opaque white rectangle that is pinned to clear plastic near the rear of the roof as well as to the clear plastic near the front of the rear "glass".

The base of the front windshield "snaps" onto opaque white plastic, and the rear "glass" has clear rectangular ports that have to tab onto white tabs near the engine bay (this a rear engine vehicle). The windshield, roof, and side windows are all a single glass piece. To further complicate all of that opposing stress, the doors (opaque white plastic) are hinged to the clear side window "glass" and the doors have to tab onto white opaque tabs on the forearms as well as "hook/slot" into the rear 1/4/ panels (opaque white plastic). There is a lot of pressure required to get everything connected and all of it stays under constant stress.

    Kingdom Tracks & Road Rage:

The "glass" has flex, it has 2 sections and, they are both permanently connected to each other via a hinge system:

There is a clear hinge at the top of the windshield that is pinned to a dark grey double hinge assembly which is also pinned to clear plastic near the rear of the "roof". The roof, side windows, part of the doors, rear glass, and part of the rear deck are all a single piece of clear plastic that is hinged to part of the rear 1/4 panels, trunk, taillights, etc. rear bumper assembly (that assembly also has rotation due to how it is flat pinned to the upper torso).

The front windshield has clear tabs tabs onto opaque blue rectangular ports on each half of the hood (these require an excessive amount of force unless you alter the transformation which allows them to glide in and out) and the windshield also has to flex/clash around the side windows in order for it to "pop" into place and align with the roof. The only other physical connection point is where the part of the doors made of clear plastic "hook/slot" into the front fenders. All of those parts stay under constant stress but, it's vastly different than SS86 Jazz's stress.

Definitely on my list of upgrade sets to pick up. How do you switch the back spire? Is it pinned in?

Just friction. Gotta make sure you have the whole piece straight and it'll pull right off. Definitely took a bit of oomph to remove it though.

I still don't get why they couldn't use the amount of plastic used for his"railguns" to make his back spire longer instead. It's one of Galvatron's most prominent features and they made it tiny.

Do you need the heel spurs with those shoes or can he stand without them?

If you run the long legs up against the back, enclosing them with the smaller legs, they compress down nicely.

I hate that I'm considering getting that kit specifically for the spire. I don't want any of the other parts, just that.

Added a new stinger and a tail filler to Scorponok. The rest of the add-on kit is trash, but these aren't bad.

I really enjoy the figure. I know people take issue with the height, but if you don't tab the waist in he's perfectly acceptable.
