And you shouldn't, this thing is glorious as the old one but it doesn't have GPS, so you won the lottery.

Let me explain why that's a VERY bad choice with a video...

 

Waspinator hates bird bot.

 

HamtaroxWaspinator is a better love story than Twilight.

 

Ah I see they went with the bad head design.

 

I will admit I was a little intrigued with Grimlock when I got my set this evening. The transformation is a bit fiddle-ly, however, the paint job is a huge improvement over Dinobot and so is the face/head. The dino mode is on point. I doubt I will continue to collect Beast Wars figures but this is a welcomed surprise and I just might hang on to it.

Mirage is a disappointment. The new color choices are a poor attempt at representing his cartoon self. The blue plastic painted over white should have been casted with white plastic. The paint looks sloppy and incomplete, and is prone to scratching The vehicle mode is difficult to tab together. It is likely the stiffest figure I have handled.

 

I had a hard time tabbing my Mirage together in alt, but so eventually got it. I think the figure’s overall design is an improvement, but is plagued with odd design/execution choices like you mentioned. In addition to missing a shoulder mount for the missile? At least this one does not have loads of clear plastic to worry about.
Grimlock might benefit from a bit more paint applied, but otherwise the new head sculpt is phenomenal. I wasn’t prepared to be this happy with him, and had already forgiven Dinobot for the same mold and design problems.

Peaugh mentioned in his review for Waspinator today that he has Tigatron on pre-order with Amazon, and believes Waspinator is listed on there as well… I tried searching for them but have had no luck. Does anybody have the links? Looking for Shadow Panther as well if he’s also available
