As of today, I'm officially giving up my quest for a T30 Rhinox. As much as I'd prefer him to the new release, the aftermarket prices are just straight up insane, even when loose and without weapons.

I'll accept I have to get the Kingdom one, but I hope someone ends up making a better head and guns for him. Ideally a version with more screen-accurate colors would be nicer, I know it sounds unlikely but I would have said the same for Cheetor before the Netflix release happened.

Recently, an Aussie retailer had a massive, mid-year toy sale. I got my hands on Kingdom Rodimus for a price not quite as cheap as I would've wanted, but they were selling Leaders at half price, meaning I was able to get a Rodimus/Galvatron duo for quite a decent combined price.

Kingdom Rodimus is pretty good. Like most, I'd already experienced the base design with SS86 Hot Rod, which I had liked well enough. I gotta say, Rodimus is better, not just because he's more articulated but also due to his darker colours and heavier detailing. The panel line through his chest, older face and colour variation on his forearms and waist make him look so much cooler. The outline around his flame deco helps to highlight it and while it does add a small layer of cartoony/comic-bookiness to his look, the heavier detailing and darker colours balance it out. I do wish his trailer wasn't so plain in it's molding, but I can live with it. I do like the dynamic of car/truck/automobile-thing-bot Rodimus using the turret he hides in his trailer to counter Galvatron's giant cannon form.

Speaking of Galvatron, he was about as meh as I was expecting him to be. That is, until I finally found something that could be used to add to his height, that'd at least kinda blend in with his feet; The Combaticon hand/foor/guns. They don't blend perfectly, especially as their pegs are slightly too long for the holes in Galvatron's feet, but they act as a good enough stopgap, until a 3P upgrade kit is released. Once that (along with folding that purple leg kibble onto the sides of his legs and slightly angling his flaps, on the sides of his waist, outward) fixed his proportion issues, Galvatron went from a 5/10 to an 8 or 9/10. It's amazing how much the proportions were killing the figure, for me.

I just checked the ended listings... Yow. Are you located in the US? (I notice most current listings seem to be in Canada.)

Fossilizers are such an awesome concept. I really hope we get more down the line, though 4 unique molds that are all brand-new characters in such a short time is pretty darn amazing.

Are there other figures that have been released that scale with core megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, and prime? I like the size compared to the Titans.

All Combiner Wars Trilogy Legends scale with them, for the most part.
The old Legion and Cyberverse figures do as well.

The hype about this lump of unicron spawn is real. He's a big beefy chunk of hunk. Perfect headsculpt. Interesting transformation and nice alt mode. The shoulder thing is really an non issue to me. Can't wait for the marvel colours version!

It's raining Kindgom figures in this house today. I've not opened Transmutate yet, as I fear it. and that creepy face. But the Grimlock and Mirage set came! Mirage is a big improvement on the Siege mold (no transparent plastic, yeah!), but a little more fiddly to transform. Still much enjoyment.

Got my kingdom red alert this morning and he’s all Frankenstein’d up with Tigertrack’s arms, siege red alerts wheels and feet and Nonnef’s shoulder launcher and gun.
