What's Green Guy's name? It's escaping me, and he looks good.
That would be Dinotron, the Hasbro version of BWN Hardhead.
ONE OF US, ONE OF US!
Cheetor is alright isn't he? Not great but not bad.
Who knew Ultra Magnus could be so metal?
I personally wouldn't suggest it. I found the figure to actually be pretty shoddy feeling, mainly the wings.
I still can't believe they didn't do a leader class Star Saber during Power of the Primes because the evolution gimmick was literally Star Saber's gimmick. I mean the setup was right there and they just didn't take it.
Overall I like the figure but some things drag it down
1. the lack of a gun -for real, why
2. The cheetah head plastic feels waaay too fragile for the amount of force needed to pull it from the chest cavity, and I don't understand why the mouth pedestal is even a thing
3. Don't get why the Netflix colors weren't just used for the default release to begin with
Other than that, quite good Deluxe. The only other Cheetor I've owned was the Transmetal II, so this is nice.
Found a Kingdom Magnus today! My 86 display is going to need a bigger shelf once other characters come out.
Painted kingdom/earthrise prime's belt buckle(no idea why that wasn't corrected for kingdom) and painted the windows blue because mine had a defect on one side. Turned out pretty good. Wish I could do the hips/legs white and the lower part blue, but don't think it's possible to take apart because of pins
Don't mean to be paranoid, but I wouldn't recommend sticking that blast effect into the matrix for a prolonged time.
Don't want to rip of that beautiful gold paint.
Guys thanks a ton it’s coming off now
It came off with no damage but some silver paint did come off with it (nothing noticeable on the matrix)
I didn’t even realize this was a thing, any other figures I should be worried about with blast effects in the future or is this the only instance?
Hound: “Alright boys Starscream is said to be in the area, so look sharp. We got one Hell of a battle incoming.”
ALL: “LETS GO”
Hound: “Alright Men, let’s split up and find the son of a glitch”
Cog: “I think he’s here”
Sideswipe: “Hey hey Cog calm down. Usually Red-Alert’s jumpy. And he’s a doc-bot”
Starscream: “Surprise you fools”
Sideswipe: “Get the frag back Decepticon”
Starscream: “Pathetic fools...Thinking you could obliterate me with my new body?”
Hound: “Mirage, Smokescreen. Get Sideswipe out of there. Distract Starscream as long as you both can NOW”
Mirage: “Smokescreen use your camouflage. We’re gonna blind this flying bastard”
Smokescreen: “Well this is gonna be a challenging one”
Starscream: “Lovely, more test subjects to show off my new power.”
Sideswipe: “Doc-Bot ain’t gonna like this”
Sideswipe: “See ya in the pit Starscream”
Starscream: “You have all met your doom now......you pathetic fools will meet your end tonight at my hands.....”
Primal, dinobot, scorponok, rhinox, and transmutates dont have faction symbols on there kingdom figures.
some of them like transmutate, primal, and dinobot didnt have symbols on them in the show so it makes sense for them not having any. While rhinox is supposed to have them on the sides of his head but doesnt. And scorponok is supposed to have them on his missiles(i may be wrong) but his kingdom fig doesnt appear to have them.
Both rhinox and scorponok may have them on there final products, but we dont know since no one has them in hand.
It's all of them. Blast effects strip all paint.
Honestly blast effects seem to be best used for either play or photo ops, but definitely not left in anything or touching any pain.
The only blast effect part I've used long term was one I got 3D printed to look like gun smoke (using it with Shockwave)
Part 3: conclusion
Starscream: “It’s such a shame you Autobots are defeated so easily....”
Hound: “AUTOBOTS CHARGE!!!!”
Starscream: “Oh, you pathetic Autobots still function?”
Starscream: “Wanna bet?”
Crosshairs: “Mirage get down”
Hound: “Alright on my command, if he touches me open fire...got that?”
Hound: “On my mark: three two...”
Hound: “OPEN FIRE!!!!!!”
Starscream: “Clever bastards....”
Starscream: “I will return”
The whole thing is a recipe for disaster, since the whole main appeal of blast effects is for a more dynamic display. When it comes to straight up play value, blast effects are a poor replacement for spring loaded missiles, lights and sounds, or even just shaking a figure back and forth and making your own gun noises. I can't imagine myself as a kid taking the time to grab and insert blast effects while smashing my toys together. So if they can't be used for display, what's the point?
