I don't recall that movie, I agree, it's frightening. Reminds me of the "newborn" from Alien Resurrection.

Ok, I'm glad someone cleared that up. I never watched beyond season 1 of Beast Wars, but it was my understanding that while BW and G1 had a connection of sorts, the characters themselves weren't related.

And people question why I've never seen the Aliens movies.

They're all new characters, none of them are the G1 guys

As far as the show is concerned, the only ones with names prior to the show were Optimus Primal, Megatron, Depth Charge and Protoform X (Rampage). Other sources have expanded on names for different characters. Animated gave us Rattletrap (Rattrap), Elita-1 (Blackarachnia) and Wasp (Waspinator), Funpub gave us Gnashteeth (Megatron), Unit 2 (Tigatron's cop designation, not his name), and Wing Saber (Airazor). I don't think any other names have been given via official sources. Oh and Dawn of the Predacus implies that Inferno is the G1 guy, but that comic is pretty apocryphal

Not really. Primal is a leader, but much more flexible in how he gets things done than prime.
Rhinox is much more... calm, than Wheeljack for one. And much better at actually fighting, with his gattling guns of doom.
Rattrap is an opportunist, infiltration and demolitions expert. And can be very disagreeable at times, but in a sort of endearing way.
Cheetor is more childish and stupid than Bumblebee. But yeah, they're both kid appeal characters.
Dinobot is NOT Starscream lol. He's incredibly honor-bound, and left the Predacons because he thought Megs was a fool.
Beast Megatron is much more charismatic and intelligent than G1 megs. Like, he has schemes within his schemes. constantly manipulating everyone to his advantage.
Scorponok is, in short, as loyal as he is stupid. The bot's an idiot, and blindly subservient to Megs.
Terrorsaur is a bad Starscream knockoff.

Happy to help. It's a great show if you can get past the early CGI and Season 1 had a bunch of filler

PULSE sent me an email last week that my Cyclonus was ready to ship early and to make sure my CC info was right, and since then...NOTHING has happened. They are teasing the crap out of me right now, and all these great pics are not helping...ugh!

That shows up my video game, I turn off the game and watch cartoons...big NOPE for me.

The first one is a great film. A classic.
    Second is good.
3rd is eh. Directed by the guy who did seven and fight club.

    Rest are not good.

If you time-traveled to the past, gave H.R. Giger a bunch of Calvin and Hobbes comic strips about dinosaurs, and told him to design a Predacon, this is what he would have made.

Loving the more g1 cartoon accurate head sculpt and lack of “battle damage”

Really enjoying this guy. Fun to handle and pose. Other than the soft rubber having a slight curl at the edges in some spots where the panels meet he is great and fits togethergood. Dont see how they could have done much better other than color choices.

One more thing I might add to preempt some further confusion down the line is that there are some characters--most of whom don't appear in the show--that are accepted as their G1 selves. G1 Ironhide, Prowl, and Silverbolt, for instance, received BW figures in the form of a combiner called Magnaboss. Not all are like this though--BW Scourge and G1 Scourge for example are two different bots entirely. TFWiki.net does a good job going into more detail about who's who, but if you're only watching the show and not digging as much into the off screen toys, there's not a ton to sort through.

Hope this helps if you ever feel like digging a little deeper into the characters and lore. There's a lot of cool stuff to find there, but the show stands on its own pretty good too ;)
