they said it this january so siege magnus had been released for quite some time, i reread what they said they said that the character had a base mode and was "autobot-y in color" so red, i dont know much about rid but from what people have said fire convoy is the only one that fits that description.

unrelated but they also mentioned a micromaster base which was also red and was exclusive to japan during g1

 

Technically it would have been fire convoy but as i said, it was supposedly just concept art.

also the Magnus comment was a slight joke as he was a rid homage.

I don't know if it would happen in Earthrise specifically, but whats the likelihood that we will get more seekers then the original 6 out of the new earth mode voyager? My biggest hope is for a heavy Slipstream retool, but barring that, i hope this mold gets used just as much as the old classics deluxe seeker.

 

I would be down for that. Slipstream would be my second choice after Sunstorm.

 

It might not happen....but I'd love to see some mercenaries especially on Lockdown. Like come on he needs a NEW figure.

I was thinking it's the Deluxe Insecticons in that picture who do need new figures.
I would like a deluxe Lockdown without telescoping legs, but with the toys he already has you can't really say he needs a new one.
I'd love me a chug Barrage, Chop Shop, Ransack, and Venom. Those designs are so unique and full of personality.

 

Really you just need three of them, Chop Shop already exists.

At the very least I can see Hasbro retooling the Earthrise Wheeljakc mold into looking like IDW/Evergreen Lockdown. I mean they both share similar design cues.

 

As long as he keeps his iconic hook and its a cover up by all means go for it.

 

I think the Devastation army builders (which came in Runamuck and Thrust recolor varieties) would be good sellers. It helps that the colors are appealing and Decepticons tend to be outnumbered on most shelves, at least by mass.

Is there space for a new deluxe mold in Earthrise? With Tracks rumoured to be in Kingdom now, and seemingly no deluxe jets/planes in Kingdom at all I fear this is Needlenose's last chance.....

Although since we've been talking about a Metroplex redo, I'll point out that Overlord is being portrayed as Omega Supreme's Titan class nemesis in the Earth Wars game now, a Titan Overlord wouldn't be inconceivable.

It has play value and could make up for a slight deficit in mass by featuring two Deluxe sized heads of Giga and Mega.

Are there worthier choices? Sure. But it would go well against a Commander PMOP/Ginrai and offset the balance of three Autobot Commanders in a row with two Decepticon Titans in a row. It's in media scale as a slightly short Titan.

I can see Deathsaurus being saved for Victory Saber as an adversary, which I have increasing trouble seeing, sadly, with Kingdom splitting focus with Beast Wars and possibly new versions of G1 characters.

 

Tracks isn’t from a verified rumor, he’s from a 4chan “leak” and we still have a whole wave to get info on for earthrise

 

Given the composition of character line-up the notion that Wave 4 might've been folded into the Netflix line and pushed into Wave 1 of Kingdom (if the voyager G1 Inferno rumour proves true) seems more compelling the longer we go without notice of who/what ER Wave 4 actually will be.
