Commander class would be my preferred Overlord. He’s big but he’s not gargantuan.

 

But everyone is hoping for a new Ginrai figure. If they make him a Commander and make a Commander class God Bomber it follows that they would be about titan size and their rival would be too.

super ginrai and god bomber shouldnt be commanders on their own though, prime wars leader is the largest they should be and then they can combine into a commander (again like the existing ones, just done better). a commander class super ginrai would make the basic core ginrai too large

I meant its a concept that just doesnt seem plausible at all. Even if you put the two together it still dont make them titan sized by any stretch of the imagination. God bomber is glorified armour not a titan sized suit for ginrai to pilot.

 

you can't really say that with any certainty, they are sizing the characters appropriate to their interpretation of the bot mode scale, if a leader needs to be taller then they will make him more hollow. hell the largest earthrise deluxe so far is nearly voyager height (yes, that matters in this context because it illustrates that there can be a very wide variation in sizes among the price points)

I know you're gonna say something about size inconsistencies in the Japanese cartoons, but... well I think he should have been a little bigger.

 

there are not only inconsistencies between the japanese and american toons, but also in the animation itself. the sizes are based on scale charts, not stills from the animation

I just think the basic Ginrai should be around half of Super Ginrai's upper torso, stopping at his ribcage and not including his shoulders. The trailer should be a masterpiece of shellformer efficiency.





Also the Classics Pretenders are roughly PotP Prime Master sized in theory and PM Optimus can hold them in one hand each.

Pretty much. The toys were made which ever size they needed to be to incorporate the transformation. Dont forget the cartoon was made to sell the toys not the other way around. Toys first cartoon second.

 

Basic ginrai is roughly the same size relative to his troops that prime is relative to his, so logically basic ginrai should be about the same size as prime

Ginrai's cab should form much less of Super-Ginrai's torso though.



The cab makes up too much of the Supermode before. The Cab should stop 2 inches above the waist or so with abs formed by the trailer, not the cab.
