Potentially hot take, this Starscream is the best Starscream hasbro has created. 3F3FBC42-AFF0-4676-978D-E63E15BA3A4A.jpeg

Did anyone else’s Grapple head pin break from being too tight? There are two so it’s not the end of the world but it was quite disappointing.

Gotta sand it down all around. One is bigger than the other too. I sanded then buffed them smooth with a nail file.

Has anyone tried to take apart ER Prime's head? I'd like the paint the rest of the face silver once I see one in my neck of the woods if it's not too difficult to get apart.

So I just bought an ER Wheeljack that is packaged in a Ironworks box. The tape looks sealed and legit. Is this common? Anybody else find one like that?

Anyone can carefully peel tape and replace it, I've seen that done before to get accessories or a head etc.

Might have just been a random one that got jacked up at the factory.

When they first hit shelves, I found a Siege Soundwave packed in a Starscream box. The rest of the case was there, so no reason to think it was tampered with, just a factory error.

Uncommon, but factory errors do happen. My Starscream had one piece of tape on the entire box. Every other flap, side, what have you, not a single strip. Still "sealed" and untouched, though. So odd.

Weird factoid... He had ONE plastic strap over his legs, nowhere else. Grapple? None, secured only by the "snaps" on the bubble itself.

I've never come across a figure like that before unless it was 3rd party. =\

As far as Grapple, I seem to remember seeing somewhere that Hasbro is again trying to move away from the plastic ties, so that just the tray is doing the holding.

I do recall that. It was just shocking seeing it, firsthand, after everything else was strapped in. (S&M Optimus, anyone??)

I would think it would be cheaper to put them on cardboard with plastic straps than to make the bubble...

Still, I think factory errors are going to be common with this line as everything comes to a halt in Asia as Coronavirus wreaks havoc and they'll only be able to produce things as skeleton crews for a while.

Vietnam isn’t facing the same kinds of issues as China from the virus.

Vietnam is pretty much the sole source for Transformers.

Marvel Legends might face some delays which would account for why we have slightly fewer product leaks this year but Hasbro was already moving that to India and Vietnam.

Mattel’s moving everything (back) to Mexico pretty much.

vietnam, where these figures are made as far as im aware, has only had 16 confirmed cases, with 7 having recovered. there will be an impact for sure, but i dont think itll be as significant as it has been in china as factories are already reopening in vietnam after the lunar new year
